Ive got an 8 month old budgie who as far as I am aware isnt a pied anything but she still isnt showing any signs of an iris ring coming through which is a real mystery, unless she has some sort of recessive in her genes. I have no idea why the ring hasnt appeared at all. Link to comment
Guest Kisses Birds Posted February 10, 2006 Share Posted February 10, 2006 I have a non-pied budgie that I've had for nearly 9 months and he still doesn't have the iris ring either. He is normal colored like the wild ones. Yellow head, green body, black shell markings on wings. Strange. I don't think he will get the rings ever. That's okay, I love his deep black eyes. They are large too because he is an english budgie. Link to comment
