Right now he/she is about 6 weeks old and his/her cere is pinkish purple with pink around the nostrils. Any thoughts as to the sex, or is it too early to tell? I have seen one of his/her clutchmates, and that one had a cere that was totally different- it was entirely pink. Link to comment

Young females will have lighter (whitish) rings around their nostrils. Males will be more uniform pink.. or even purplish. Both males and females can be great pets.. so I don't worry too much over gender. Link to comment
