  1. Your budgies are just gorgeous!!!
  2. Wow, that's a terrific gym! I agree, they really should go into business.
  3. Thanks, that explains it then. Pheobe, I agree, lovebirds aren't usually birds that can be trusted w/ other birds. My other four aren't even allowed out at the same time as my budgie, p'let and two tiels. But Coconut is a little sweetie. Of course, he is only seven months old, so that could change in the future. In the meantime, however, he is supervised 100% of the time when he is around the other birds. I do hope it isn't something he'll grow out of though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  4. ...of my budgie, Snowflake. (I haven't posted on this site for awhile, but you guys were so great in helping me determine what mutation he is.) Snowflake turned one-year-old on 11/25/06. He has become quite good friends with my p'let, Papi, and one of my lovies, Coconut. Coconut is the only one of my five lovies that I can trust around my non-lovie birds. Here is a picture of the two of them spending some time together (it's clickable). I've also been meaning to ask, does the blue patch on the back of his head mean anything?
  5. He looks EXACTLY like my Snowflake, so naturally I have to say he is very, very pretty!
  6. Aww...he is so beautiful! (And I am not just saying that because he looks just like my Snowflake, he, he )
  7. Your budgies are just adorable! How old are they?
  8. But, how could you not trust such an innocent looking face?! So cute...
  9. Aww...he's not stupid...he's just adorable! Cute pics; thanks for sharing.
  10. I agree with everyone- your budgies are very striking. Their babies are bound to be beautiful as well. Good luck with the babies- I hope everything turns out well!
  11. Thanks! He will be turning 8 weeks old in a few days, so I guess that he is close enough to 8 weeks.
  12. Sorry it took so long, but I finally have a good picture of Snowflake's cere. My camera is NOT good when taking close-ups and it took me awhile to get one in focus. Anyway, when I first saw him or her, he/she was a little over two weeks old, and his cere was all pink. Then it turned purple everywhere but around the nares- that part stayed pink. Now that pink part has turned blue, and the rest is turning blue as well. So...is it possible to sex him/her now? He/she is 7 weeks old. Here is Snowflake's picture (it's clickable):
  13. Munchy is seriously one of the prettiest budgies I have ever seen. I just love his colors!
  14. Wow, that is interesting information- I never knew any of that. And I have to agree with the others, sounds pretty normal for a bird that is nervous and getting used to a new home. I currently have seven birds in my home, and I have seen this many times. Some acclimate faster than others. I have a least a couple that went a whole day without eating. I wouldn't be too worried right now. Just give him time. By The Way, have any pics? I just love seeing everyones birds! :budgiedance:
  15. Yeah, he or she definitely does not have any white. But I will post a picture tomorrow.
