Hello, my name is Rachel and i am addicted to this forum. My partner says he has gone down the list (how much i love him list) since i got my feathered friends.

The list goes like this:

1-Babies (my 2 girls)

2-budgies

3-dog

4-Him (my partner)

5-frogs.

He also moans on about how i love my budgies more than him. I say 'NO, not more, the same' . Lucky he has a good sense of humor. :(

hi, frogs are similar to reptiles in the aspect that they don't produce their own body heat (ectothermic)i think that's how you spell it. They don't drink water, they absorb it through their skin (ozmosis).

Here's a photo of the tank set up. The two brown frogs in this photo are giant tree frogs or also known as white lipped tree frog. When i bought them they were the size of a 5 cent piece. (I have photo's but i need to scan them). The tank is specially made for frogs with a divider, one side pebbles the other side has water with a heater in it. They also need a UV light like the turtles and other reptiles. Cheers thanks

oooooh they are lovely. We have a couple of green tree frogs that live in our court yard! We used to live in the country and we were always finding them around our verandah and even in the loo a few times hehe.

They are gorgeous, I love frogs.

I love frogs too! We have loads of southern brown tree frogs round here as well as some small species of burrowing frog. Do green tree frogs shed they're skin? I went into a pet shop and they were woried because part of its skin changed colour. Good to know they care about they're animals.

You must have a very healthy , non-polluted environment where you live, frogs are an indicator of that. Yes green tree frogs shed their skins, its kinda gross to watch and the first time i saw it i freaked out. They eat the skin from the bum up and use their hands to pull the skin off. The green tree frogs i have change colour from bright green to an almost black. Don't know why but sometimes they go very dark before they shed. :)

I love your frogs, we have some nice big green ones as well, they live in a pipe on our veranda and we watch them eating insects at night out side our window.

They get really loud when it's about to rain.
