February 27, 200619 yr A deep blue is a male. Your bird has white around the nostrils, a sign of a girl
February 27, 200619 yr when their ceres are light like that it means they are not in breeding condition, you will notice it may darken to a deep brown that would mean she is in breeding condition. No means you need to breed just so when it happens you know , what it means.
February 28, 200619 yr Author And there's me referring to pepsi as he for the past 7 years, oops Actually I've just been browsing the net about the colour of a females cere & I found this on a website, "female budgies with a disturbed hormonal balance show light blue ceres for a longer period (months)! Often a dysfunction of an internal organ is the cause of a disturbed hormone release" Pepsi has had kideny problems all 'her' life, maybe that is why her cere is light blue, but to be honest I've never ever noticed pepsi's cere to be anything close to appearing brown.
February 28, 200619 yr He/she looks very smart! At this point I think we can not really tell if this budgie is a he or a she! As he/she does not seem to be in his/her best shape. You would better wait an see if the cere turns all blue or brown.
February 28, 200619 yr :hap: aww so cute yup pepsi is a girl and the texture is rinkely eitch also is a sign of a girl :hap:
