Pine Rivers catalogue should go onto website this weekend together with some pictures. Hard copy is available if anyone wants one mailed out. Sorry, should have been on website sooner but this has been a busy week for me

I'm struggling to keep our club website up to date too, just can't find the time these days.

July 30, 201014 yr Author Another auction so soon, with my luck at auctions I think I should stay away Not The words "auction" and "stay away" should never appear in the same sentence! I'm lucky that the Pine Rivers auction is the day before my birthday so I can use the "birthday present' excuse to find a way to bring home another piece of the jigsaw.

August 3, 201014 yr Catalogue released at this site: http://www.prbs.org.au/files/2010%20draft%20catalogue.pdf Do you have to be a member of a club to attend the auction? Edited August 3, 201014 yr by KAZ
August 3, 201014 yr No you don't, but you will pay more for these birds as there show birds. Will try to attend....used to belong to a club many years ago but have taken up the hobby again as my daughter is interested. I always try to buy good quality birds that have come from breeders even if they are just for my own enjoyment. Cheers
August 29, 201014 yr I too would love to know - there seemed like a fair few birds there! I was thinking of purchasing a few if I could but I forgot about it oops haha I've been a bit busy anyway with my birds so its probably best I didn't get any
August 29, 201014 yr Although I wasn't there I spoke to a couple of the organisers who said it went well but that doesn't give much idea about general pricing or quality.....

August 31, 201014 yr Hi The Pine Rivers Auction was a very enjoyable day. Great atmostphere and some really good birds. I had birds in to sell and I also purchased a couple so can speak from both sides of the fence. The highest priced bird was from memory around $650 and the average price was around $300 and there were some really good quality birds available so in my opinion there was something for everyone. As a seller i was more than happy with what mine went for and as a buyer was spoilt for choice and all were affordable.

August 31, 201014 yr Price are down on good birds, and I know of some who have put reserves on there birds at auctions due to the lack of money there getting for them.
September 2, 201014 yr Price are down on good birds, and I know of some who have put reserves on there birds at auctions due to the lack of money there getting for them. That is a problem sometimes, the breeder puts a reserve on there bird & it is set to high,as the bird is not as good as they think & if you are not known, the price will not be as good as someone, that have the results on the board. That is the thing, about Auctions, they only make what the last bid was.If you want more, bid on them yourself, because if a bird is passed in,it drops the average price.
