Hi,

when I have the breeding boxes in the avairy the cocks start chirping to the hens and then they face them and bob their heads up and down.Does anyone know what it means?

It's all part of the courting... they are getting excited etc... that is also why their pupiles dialate. All creatures (including humans) have certain 'things' they do before they mate  I don't know how else to explain it cleanly! lol

Cocks do this all the times to hens. I think it is to get them in the mating mood, dancing etc...

It's how that chat up the girls! :budgiedance:

my cocks also do it when they are feeding their mate
