Psittacine Pruritic Polyfolliculosis:

Formally known as short tail disease, it make the birds appear to very extremely itchy on their rump shoulder, and neck. So the bird looks like it is always preening. The bird will chew at these areas so badly that they end up causing damage to the skin – If you look close enough you can see feather follicles have more then one feather growing other areas will have twisted and deformed feathers some feathers may be twisted under the skin in a circle …

I had them all writen in my little budgie book lol. so I have typed it up and put it on here ...

It is not a diagnoses :P But informative

make sure you put that with each post, SW has a good point so people don't think you are copy and pasting, keep the information coming :D

I can’t believe you typed those three words Neat…my opinion is that if you read too much especially about diseases, you are only asking for trouble. You will discover you have all sorts of things that you never knew you had before, adding to your problems. As if there weren’t enough already…gladly I had never heard of such a problem. I’m quickly going to forget I ever saw those words, which at my age isn’t [luckily] that hard to do…LOL… :D
