Posted June 18, 200817 yr Hi all thought you might be interested to see the latest thing I have sorted out. I got the photos today of our wedding bouquets :budgiedance: This is my bouquet: Sorted out my fiances ring on the weekend and got my mum a STUNNING dress to wear (and scooped my dads jaw up off the floor after we insisted she model it when we got home :budgiedance: ) In the middle of finsihing cake design at the moment and doing little fiddly things like place cards. So much still to do!
June 19, 200817 yr Lovely flowers :budgiedance: I had white roses and freesias (my favourite) for mine. I am looking forward to all the photos of the big day!! have you arraigned a photographer...??? Edited June 19, 200817 yr by **Liv**
June 19, 200817 yr Author Our photographer is a friend who is a pro, he takes the most beautiful photos and he's especially good at people. He and his wife have all these beutiful photos of her and their little son(2) all over their walls at home, he'll do a great job and he wanted to do it which is even better!
June 19, 200817 yr Beautiful bouquet! Are you keeping it after the wedding? My sister stored hers in the freezer. Don't forget to organised yourselves with the Public Trustee (if you haven't already).
June 19, 200817 yr Author It's fake so we can keep it forever!!!!Our gorgeous celebrant who is a close family friend has already organised all the paper work for us :budgiedance: he's fantastic :budgiedance:

June 19, 200817 yr Author Not making, just altering. IT's a two piece and for some reason the skirt fits but the bodice is about two sizes two big (despite being the same size as the skirt?!?!). So I'm removing the zip from the back of the bodice, reducing the size and putting loops and a ribbon on the back instead :hap:
June 19, 200817 yr I had artificial flowers for my wedding in January and they are the best! So much lighter than the real thing, and being the middle of Summer, didn't wilt or crush! I got the flowers from a distributor and did them myself... The time is going to fly! Did you end up getting your cup cake paper thingies sorted out?
June 20, 200817 yr Author Not really CR, I'm just giong to cut rings as that has been the most reliable method so far of making sure they didn't stick I did half the adjustment on my wedding dress last night, the easy half. The rest will have to wait until after my exam next week. I have ordered the stand that I am using for my cake to buy (it was $30 to hire or $40 to buy it). So I will be able to put it together and make sure I am ahappy wth it in advance :budgiedance: Edited June 20, 200817 yr by melbournebudgies
June 20, 200817 yr Mmmmmmmm mudcaaaaake. *dribble* Wow it must be so exciting and fun getting everything organised
June 20, 200817 yr Author Check list still to go: Finish dress Organise hair and make up ( I don't do either of these things normally so I'm totally stumped!) Finish wedding cake design and make decision on mud cake recipe (any suggestions as I haven't found a recipe I'm totally happy with yet?) Decide on table centrepieces make place cards (can't be dnoe until everyone has RSVPed) kick fiances a*se until he gets his suits ordered (still not done and best man is BIG boy so they won't be 'off the rack') Check maid of honours dress and adjust two weeks before wedding if necessary (she's pregnant) Sigh...
June 20, 200817 yr My mum is a cake decorator and she made a new mud one it was mint mud ..... OHHHH SOOOO YUMMY!! Caramel is good to if you have a sweet tooth, White mud is to die for but the best mud by far is the double choc it has burbon in it ( nothat you can taste it but give a little kick) hehehe Fruit cake is gross and Old school, Living up your wedding with a Funny cake top and a great tasting cake . It is the last thing your guest will talk about so make it a good one :budgiedance: how many tiers?????? shape, colour? ( mine has been planned for 3 years hahaha) http://www.cakethat.com.au/wedding_cakes.htm here is a site with a few ideas for ya Edited June 20, 200817 yr by Neat
June 20, 200817 yr Author These are muffins on a stand. Three tiers. The muffins will have peoples place card attached to them and a little note on the back that explains that if they put it in the microwave for 20 seconds it turns into a self saucing pudding Each muffin is in a little ceramic muffin cup so they will be already on the tables. They will have a a chocolate top with a little white chocolate heart piped onto it. The ones on the stand will just be for show essentially so we will probably eat them ourselves Hey Neat any chance your mum would pass on a recipe or two? I haven't been able to find a really nice one. I want one for choc mud and if possible one for white choc mud, the nice rich type :budgiedance:

Cup cakes is a mad Idea, is there an oven at the reception???? How will they microwave it???
June 20, 200817 yr MB if you need help with make up I can do that. I have done a course or the alternative is depends on the time of the wedding see if there is an inglot near you and pay about $45 - $65 for a make over the morning of your wedding.... this beats the *** out of $300 odd that normally you are charged however I would suggest you go and get a make over done before the big day to make sure the lady is not a "lets use loads of blue" type of person.
