Budgie Noise

I just recently got all my budgie back from my mother who was looking after them since the start of the year. Having gotten used to the quiet of a budgieless room, I'm finding it quite hard to get re-used to the noise that 11 budgies make. They live in my bedroom as I currently flat with other students.

I was wondering how many budgies you have, the noise level they make and where in the house you keep them.

I was also wondering if budgie noise can damage your ears?

I love my fids, but I may have to purchase an aviary and put half of them outside so that the noise is lessened inside and I can study.

Do you find that less budgies make less noise?

You might have to invest in a set of headphones and play some music while you study :rip:

hahahaha ear plugs

and YES the more there are the more noise!!!

I can only imagine the noise issues you have!!! My 6 budgies and 2 tiels make plenty of noise and they are outside. Good luck with finding a solution, but I must warn you... if you get an aviary, get a big one as I'm sure you'll get some extras to fill it :rip:

Only problem is I am renting and I'm not allowed any more birds. I'm actually supposed to be selling some!!

I feel dirty when i have birds living inside... All mine live outside, in close proximity to my bedroom window, about 2-3 m... god only knows how many birds there are (Laughing out loud)... I don't have a problem with the extreme noise though, i enjoy waking up to it and during the day it doesn't bother me, then at night as soon as it's dark they're silent... so works well for me :rip:

well I can hear Merlin outside if the doors are all shut and I am outside in my backyard (so I would say around 15 ft from the house), and in the summer well if you are around the house outside you can hear him especially when he is chattering a storm. I found Pretty and Merlin together were really a racket (Laughing out loud) I can't imagine having 11 in one room right next too me I would have to get an outside aviary too.

:hap: Try 7, (one is a foster but has now joined the rest post 2 months quarantine and is much happier anf friendlier). :P And I am always vacuuming and dusting as my tiels, budgies and lovies live in MY living quarters!!! Right now the only people I have in my spare bedroom are 2 guinea pigs. Again, with fostering animals/birds, I want to socialize them as much as possible. Having said that, NOBODY will ever end up in MY bedroom!
