isn't the white one a dilute recessive pied????

Great looking birds! Can't help you with what sorts, as I have no idea on that sort of thing. Just thought I'd tell ya, you have great looking birds :)

Wow, the white one is beautiful! Especially the light blue on the lower back, just gorgeous.

Thanks Daz .... I thought Fallows were Red ???

I always have to pick the stange ones :)

It’s a bit tricky Neat…I was waiting for some others to have a stab at it…is it completely White on the breast. It looks sort of Recessive Pied to me often they have most of their colour on their rump. Could be a Dark Eyed Clear with heavy suffusion on the rump although they are supposed to be completely White.

WHOOO HOOOO I DID IT I DID IT YEAH YEAH  :) Recessive PiedRecessive pied budgies have, in general, mostly clear feathers on all areas except the rump, which remains the original body color. In general there is a patch of normally colored body feathers near the bottom of the belly, with the rest of the body feathers being clear. Where there are marked feathers on the wings, these feathers are half clear near the top. The wings can have anywhere from a lot to very little marked feathers. The feathers on the head are mostly clear except sometimes for patches near the eyes and top of the head. The recessive pied budgie's eyes are dark plum colored and never lighten with age; they always stay dark. This is how you can be sure a pied is recessive pied, since the dominant pied's eyes lighten normally with maturity. The cere of the male recessive pied also does not change normally. Adult male recessive pieds have purple ceres. Adult female recessive pieds have the normal white/tan/brown ceres. HE IS A REC PIE

Thanks Norm ... I was searching as He is ALL WHITE no other marknigs etc anywhere BUT HIS RUMP which is sky blue ... I have Margoo who is like him But his Blue is just noticable and he has very pale wing markings ..... I think it is a rec pied too ... Didn't think it was DEC as Eyes are PLUM Not red or Black so this has to be it ...... SUFFSION ????

That white/blue one is gorgeous. If you say he's a rec pied then I'll take your word... On the eye colour... is plum very different to black eyes? I can never tell the difference... wondering if I need my eyes checked.

He looks like a Double Factor Pied because of the lack of marking but if he is a Recessive Pied because they do have plum eyes then he may be also carrying a clearwing gene that is erasing the markings on his head and wings? When you take a picture of a recessive pied sometimes you can catch that red plum eye color (I used to with Pretty). How old is he?

JIMMY - DARK PLUM RED is Different to Black ..... Better when there is Natural light to see .... Elly I am unsure of age I am guessing 10months if that

I'm guessing just a few months, maybe not even the 10 Neat...but I think Recessives often are hard to tell & often keep that young look.

Gorgeous additions Neat :budgiedance:
