December 3, 200717 yr How can you tell double factor? double factor what? spangle?Double factor dominant pied. They have very little markings over wings and body unlike a single factor dominant pied. They also look like a recessive pied around the head. They have strong colour over their rump.....and often have one iris ring on one side and none on the other  Here is a blue series DF dominant pied Edited December 3, 200717 yr by KAZ
December 3, 200717 yr Any Dominant variety can have a double factor. Eg. Spangles, Yellowface, Pieds, Greys
December 5, 200717 yr Author Thanks a lot, Iwould just like to know what to breed with him to keep that colour? I will accept any help. KJ
December 6, 200717 yr to keep the colour breed to another green. to keep the mutation breed to another dominant pied
December 6, 200717 yr Author Cool thanks. Also will i get the young looking like blinding? i want to keep a line of him going. kj
December 7, 200717 yr Yep if you breed him to another DF dom pied then you will egt the same looking babies. If you breed him to a SF dom pied thn half will look like him and half will have a slightly different pied look to them ( the look of a SF dom pied). If you breed him to a normal budgie, then all his babies will be SF dom pieds which will look slightly different.
December 8, 200717 yr I was just about to post a question asking what type my new fledgling (6 weeks old) is.... well it seams that he/she is a DF dominant pied Pale yellow, with yellow face, and black markings on the head, he/she also has a dark blue patch on the rump. There are no other markings. Thanks Edited August 15, 200817 yr by **Liv**
