Organising where the toys go?

 

I am going to clean the cage and perches this afternoon, and l'm so excited because straight after l get to re-arrange the toys

 

I bought just over $50 worth of toys today, a swing, 3 rope perches, 2 ring things, cage cleaner and a rope swing.

 

Sherbet better like them!

I love buying new toys it is fun, give them a couple days some times birds go straight to them other times they have to figure out if they are safe

(Laughing out loud) glad to know I am not the only one! I mix my toys up cause I have a big cage but as that is in storage I have the boys in smaller cages at the moment so Harley gets different toys every few weeks, he has this swing mirror that he LOVES I put it in there the other day for the first time in a over a month and he went nuts! Everytime anyone goes near the cage he races up to it scared they we are going to take it away again!

I like re-arranging their toys as well. My inside birds used to get them changed about once a fortnight. In my aviary I move stuff around every month. I need to buy some more toys to replace some of the older ones at the moment.

Oh yeah! I have a ton of fun trying to decide where the best place for each thing will be, for maximum flying space, maximum change, and maximum usage of each toy.

I love changing the cage around too! My problem is i'll get it all laid out in a way i LOVE and then it'll come time to rearrange it and i wont be able to make it so cool again.

ohhh l just love rearranging all their toys every few weeks. when l go to buy toys for them l feel just like a kid in the candy store

l also enjoy making toys for them too.

Toys are really fun to buy.

:ausb: I am embarassed to say that my guys toys haven't been moved in a bit! I have an shoebox for old toys that I can recycle but I am remiss in that I should get some new ones! Tomorrow, bad, bad, Robin.

I'm like that too Bea. I don't want to change it because it is so much hard work getting it all cool. But I love doing it though.

I love buying treats and toys and cool stuff for my pets. It is so much fun

I love budgie toy shopping more that anything else! (except for maybe cool gadgets )

 

I am really uncreative with my cage rearrangements though, I am limited with the budgie cages cause I need 4 food dishes and non of them under a perch (and they STILL manage to poop in their food ) And I like to leave good flying space so no toys in the middle.

l also enjoy making toys for them too.

This is my favourite activity lately. Yesterday i spent....urm....well quite a bit on beads, cotton rope, and some other bits and pieces for toy making. The birds better appreciate it! Blinkie certainly appreciates one of the toys i made recently...it's a wiffle ball toy with lots of cotton rope and beads ... he spends a lot of time humping the fluffy rope.

I just got all my toys out of storage and found out that they got wet and some grew mold! so now I have to go buy a bunch more, yeah I know the hardship toy shopping for my babies.

 

Hey does anyone know some good toys or can recommend some? I am going away for three weeks soon and want my boys to have lots of things to play with, my sister will look after them but they will get little to no time out of the cage with her as she does not like them biting her (for some reason Blue HATES her and Harley bites everyone even me!)
