Making A Millet Necklace

Featured Replies

I've been thinking....

*uhoh*

What if I made a millet necklace, you know, sorta intertwined some millet around my neck, to encourage lil Hank to sit on my shoulder and feel safe with me.

I don't mind the mess : )

Good idea? Or not?

:D

(Laughing out loud) to get Pretty on my shoulder I would have him on my finger eating millet and then I would move him to my shoulder as he was eating I would pop him on my shoulder and let him continue to eat it. Then after he got that point I would only hold the millet by my shoulder and he started to jump on. Merlin jumps on too :D, once they are there you will find that is their favorite spot because it is steady vs your finger. That is what I would try.

Hey, that sounds like a fun thing to do.

...How can you manage to make a millet necklace though? Tying the stuff together is the hard part.

Haha...I'm so glad bribery isn't frowned upon here. I attempted to seduce Hank this evening with a tiny piece of millet but he wasn't at all sure what it was and I gave up and put it in with his seed.

I'm not at all sure how I'd go about making a millet necklace...all sorts of things come to mind (Laughing out loud). A piece of string with some paper clips? A rubber band?

(Laughing out loud).....I bet you want to see photos of what works and what doesn't. :P

:)

instead of making a necklace you can just lay the spray on the shoulder you would like him to sit on. I would start with 1 shoulder first and then continue on :)

ha! That's a brilliant idea :)

I think you should take pictures of the attention you get wearing the beautiful necklace!

:) Good idea, but a necklace is a little more than is needed, go with Elly's suggestion. :(

Haha, you could make millet earrings. I know Bea made broccoli earrings for her boys. hehe. It worked a treat too.
