the "purple" I would call more blue, I think she is a normal cobalt. don't quote me on that.

she should lay usually around the afternoon. But you might see her sleep in the nestbox the night before she lays.

Can someone tell me what these 3 are I think there is a violet Opaline, not sure if other is a violet normal, unsure on the grey green bird. pretty sure the guy with the white head is violet Opaline

That green one is a interesting budgie. I would like to know what you would get out of them also.

I had a budgie herding the female to the nestbox. Then she layed.

today I took all nestboxes out of aviary and took all young and unpaired birds out of the sex separated cages then placed them in the aviary. now I have my 2 pairs in 2 individual cages with nestboxes. I was watching tilly and bart mate, I think they was trying to do there mating quickly because of the other pair in with them. must add he wasn't getting the right spot(vent) so it seemed, as my girlfriend put it oh he just thinks he has done the job now by sperming on her back, now his chasing mr teddy around cause his proud. The Teddy's well they had been breeding in breeding cages when I got them, so I don't think they liked sharing a cage with another pair. even know I had witnessed them mating, She never laid. So I hope this works. I am going to start working on my breeding cabinets soon I have 6 to make. plus a nursery.

don't mean to sink a ship but some birds mate and don't lay. I have a pair that mate and won't lay. but I think they was nervous in the aviary so I moved them to there own cages.

Hey wessiri I will be having my setup outside as well. I know this man around the corner does his breeding cabinets outside, he customized them with a roof and closing front doors. I have built shelfs similar I have a thread about it on here. I got 6 cage fronts for 5 dollars now I am in the proccess of waiting for a good weekend to start. so I will be building a bank of 4, they are going under kitchen window then a bank of 2 going at the front of my aviary. I am in units so space is pretty limited. But I manage to have this and veggie garden and clothes line, 3 cars + parts need to wreck one car some where not going to do it on my property. Ahh fakebook why use that site its about humans not budgies. Sorry about my rant but why should fakebook take over the Internet, the US Government even admits its used as a weapon, its only ploy to cause social isolation. took eggs away today. checked the health of my hen. she has a red spot above her vent. not sure if this is a tumor or just her moulting.

I have had a budgie with that color cere before it turned into a girl lol.

yeah I have them in a aviary, so nest boxes right around the aviary. I witnessed allot of mating with her and her mate. she had a mate before him, then he took over. Her new mate was mating with another hen, but I removed her. because hen with eggs, was doing big poo's lol. I didn't wanna deal with conflicts. These eggs are clear up top top.

No I hadn't been online for awhile. Tillys Clutch 19th 21st 23rd 25th 27th, Jan, 2013 5 eggs last one came late is this normal? Also I'm not sure if these eggs are fertile the first one should be due to hatch Thursday, Feb 14th, am I right? I see no veins on any of them eggs. Even know she sits on them all night and comes out for 4 mins then sits on them for a long duration. I can see these white lines on the narrow peak of the eggs, when I shine a torch on them, I am not sure if this means anything.

I left the radio going for one of mine thats inside because I am worried his sick, today while I went out and he was watching the radio when we got back. Ahhh funny.

the hen has black eyes. Also she booted the green bird and is with this male now, not sure what he is ahhh these Mutations are confusing.

eggs on the way. I'm only new to this. I noticed my hen sleeping in the breeding box 2 nights before she laid. then the night before she laid she slept outside. her droppings were large also. so you could be on your way.

cool hold in there. I'm not sure about cleaning out the cage twice a week. what times you of day do you disturb them?

LOL finnie. when I had my budgies inside hanging up near the radio. They would watch the radio to see if it would turn on.

I noticed my birds use the 2 back perches for mating. they chase all the other males away before they mate. They also have races across the width of the aviary, the other birds have naps on the back perches. But I only have 4 in my aviary at the moment.

yeah my tires aren't that bald but I wouldn't have the argument with the police. they are nearly down to the mark that is in the channels of the wheel.

look up budgies in breeding condition.

what are you feeding them? silverbeet is good, I got told it puts them into condition. Plenty of cuttle bone, mineral bells. check ceres to see for a chocolate crust forming, you will notice some times their a layer will peel off. not claiming to be a expert but thats my way.

Laid today as expected. Jan 23 eggs in nest = 3 will upload some photos tomorrow.
