More Funny Allen Pictures!
Enjoy ATTACK OF THE BIG EVIL GIANT BUDGIE An Innocent Little Person was walking along one day, when a Big Evil Giant Budgie came out of nowhere and bit his back. He turned to face the Big Evil Giant Budgie, only to have it bite his shoulder. Then, the Big Evil Giant budgie dashed off, dissapearing into the woods. The Innocent Little Person thought it might have left for good, but then... The Big Evil Giant Budgie came out of nowhere and knocked the Innocent Little Person down! The Big Evil Giant Budgie backed up for a moment, and the Innocent Little Person thought he might be able to get away. But then, the Big Evil Giant Budgie lunged forward and grabbed the Innocent Little Person's neck! The Big Evil Giant Budgie reached down to devour the Innocent Little Person, and the Innocent Little Person knew there was no escape...

Got My New Little Hand Reared Baby Today!
:/ huh. I always thought they could hurt themselves with just one wing clipped? Because they're unbalanced in flight?

Got My New Little Hand Reared Baby Today!
Oh my goodness, he's so sweet! I beleive you're right, he's male. And about the clipped wings: 1) I think it's a good idea to have the wings clipped when you first get a little budgie, and then let the feathers grow out with the next molt. That way, it's easier to get the little guy tame and used to you without him flying away, and then when he molts he'll already be tame and he'll be able to fly. That's what I did with my budgie boy, and if/when I get another budgie, I'd do the same thing. 2) I see that only one wing is clipped. This isn't a good idea because it makes the budgie unbalanced if it tries to glide/flutter from perch to perch, and it could hurt itself. It is much better to have both wings clipped evenly so the budgie has an even amount of feather on either side. This is much safer. Please clip the other wing or have an avian vet do it. Thank you

Supplies For Making Toys!
Thank you for warning me, but I know Allen very well and he doesn't like tight spaces. He never puts his head through any sort of loop or small hole. And that thread is actually pretty thick, and stiff too. It would be very hard for a bird to get tangled in it (especially one that behaves the way the does). The 'thread' is not thread, but (all-natural) hemp cord, and is not all tangly. He loves to chew it, so I leave long strands. Knowing Allen, I'm not concerned.

Am I A Girl Or A Boy?
I'd say female because there's white around the nostrils. Your budgie is soooo super cute!

Supplies For Making Toys!
I (with help from my dad!) built this plagym/perchy thing for Allen today! Compared to the old T-perch. Also, I gave him one of those paper fingers (see first post, titled 'tubes of chewing fun') a week or so ago, and here's all thats left! enjoy!

I made three more toys This one... This one (his name's Allen, but I didn't have the right letters, and 'Buddy' is one of his nicknames lol)... And this one. I thought it looked sort of like a weird little guy, so I'm calling it "Peter the Peanut Person" (see the plastic peanut beads?). Yes, I know I'm strange.
