This morning his eyelid looks much better, so I am guessing he just hit it on something or scratched it.

Hi Just a few hours ago I noticed that my budgie Allen's lower eyelid on one of his eyes is pinkish purple... It's not swollen and he's not closing his eye and his actual eyeball looks normal. He's acting perfectly normal. It (the eyelid)almost looks bruised. Soo.. Should I be worried?

I would say male. Also, congratulations on your new budgie

I could be totally wrong but my (somewhat) educated guess is that the blue one is male and the yellow is female.

I wish I knew what Noah's mutation is. I only know that Charlie is a Greywing. Charlie is the blue one. He has very dark feet now. I have better pictures of Noah on another thread. I am in Canada, and probably in the worst part as far as budgies are concerned. I know there is more choice in budgies about 800 km away. Here it is hard to get any special looking budgie. Hey Phoebes, I cant see Noah very well but he looks dominant pied to me -do you have a better picture? Thanks

I'm really not at all experienced with catching budgies, but anyway have you tried doing at night when they're roosting?? Good luck...
