thankyou, the man in my group wrote it all out for me with how to breed one and it would take ages to start from scratch this is what he said and yes i know she is young im hand feeding her and her brother the Rainbow is made up of 3 different Mutations they are the Yellow Type 2 ,Opaline ,Clear wing the following birds will be required a Clear wing cock and hen an Opaline cock and 2 Opaline hens yellow face type 2 cock. the pairs need to set up the following way Clear wing cock x Opaline Hen Opaline cock x Clear wing hen Yellow face type 2 cock x opaline hen from these you will be able to breed a over a couple of breeding seasons you can get a Clear wing Opaline Cock and a DF YF clear wing Opaline hen it is from these two birds that the rainbow will be produced Clear wing Opaline Cock x DF yf Clearwing Opaline Hen gives 100% rainbows there are cominbinations but they are harder to produce the birds required and the number of rainbows is halfed

Hey, I brought a baby budgie yesterday of a friend and we have never seen a budgie that looks like this one and on my budgie group on fb a man has said shes a Rainbow budgie i just want to get other opinions please if these photos arent good enough to tell please let me know and i will take more

yeah i have she hasnt go splayed legs Updated Photos of aqua and patches baby if anyone knows her mutation please let me know Her name is Pacqua but i think she might be a boy as her cere is starting to go like her dads this is her in normal light she is purple in real life but the camera makes her look blue shes in love with one of my other pairs babies

Hello this is one of my pairs baby and no-one seems to know what his mutation is please can someone help me his mum and dad Him In the same clutch there was an albino hen and a hen that looks like shes going to look the same He has blue and green feathers not just green his beak is still messy cause he was being fed

i put them in with Cinn and for some reason they died in the egg when they had 2 days to go i have new pics of my little baby shes going to be the same colour as hey daddy as her little feathers are coming through and down on her tail is his colour so unless shes going to have different colours on her ( which i dont think she will) shes going to be a mini Patches lol

nah hes not a pied, im learning mutations slowly so i sort of have an idea on what my budgies are, but Speed i have no idea i thought he was just a green but the blue through him made me have no idea lol, Yes Liela is cinnamon And also the picture of just speed hasnt got the flash that is in natural light

hes not a bush budgie i have one of those and he doesnt look anything like him he has blue through the green in him, amy thinks hes a dark green

Liela and Speed have got 6 eggs all but 1 are fertile the 6th one is 2 early to tell so all 6 might be fertile the 1st egg was laid on the 6th april and is due to hatch between the 24th and 26th of April Mum and Dad Speed does anyone know his mutation? And there eggs

i havent updated in awhile All of Cinn and Bitsa's eggs were infertile, Only 1 of the eggs she was sitting on from Aqua and Patches hatched she is now 14 days old and is so cute 13 days old 14 days old

wow thats lot of eggs, sorry they are all infertile i dont know why ur success rate isnt very good sorry

Aqua and Patches didnt lay another egg so i put them back in the avairy and have started a new pair in there lets hope for better results with these 2 and hope Cinn and Bitsa do well with there eggs and future babies Aqua and patches have 4 eggs 3 in the incubator 1 under Cinn Cinn and Bitsa have 2 eggs + The foster egg which looks like its growing happily in there I wasnt sure whether the foster egg under Cinn would be okay cause it was on the floor of the breeding cabinet but it looks like its doing great and its growing in there The ones in the incubator 1 is fertile and growing great and the other to are either infertile or to early to tell i know one definately is to early

i agree with finnie to and you dont have to be an exhibition breeder to think they are a bit over board LOL Those bottom budgies are insane but they look pretty cool i just think a bit to much of the fro happening haha

I think you better read a lot more about the Budgie,would be a good idea, I have read nearly every link i could find on google everynight im reading stuff about them or love birds, and am looking for the budgie books to, this is the 1st time ive bred budgies i have bred weiros and finches before though. Just my luck to have a egg eater for my first try :/ of course that would happen to me. Amy had a good idea today she said that a mouse might be eating them cause the budgies never have blood or yolk on there beaks but when i searched for entrance holes for a mouse i couldnt find any

Update for today 23/3/12 Aqua and Patches have had 5 eggs This morning i went out and checked on them and they had kicked one out of the nest, I put that one in with Cinn just to see if it is a fertile one cause is to early to tell with it, will check tomorrow or sunday and should know if its fertile then. She had also eaten one of the eggs, but left 2 of them 1 fertile one which is the eldest egg, and the one she laid 4 days ago i put the days old one in the incubator but when i went to get the other egg Aqua attacked me and wont get off it, She has also laid another egg today. Cinn is on 1 of her eggs and 1 of Aquas and since i put Aquas egg in with her Cinn hasnt come out at all except to mate with Bitsa, and when i looked in the nest box she was siting on them both

okay i thought i should wait until Cinn lays the 2nd egg, She has started incubating tho she wont come out of the nest box at all, but just to be safe i thought i should wait was just checking Thankyou

Thankyou i thought so So update is Aqua and Patches have 4 eggs 5th due tomorrow if theres going to be a 5th Cinn and Bitsa have 1 egg laid today very excited, Does anyone know if i can foster eggs from Aqua to Cinn now or should i wait until Cinn has 2 eggs?

Bitsa is NOT grey green I thought he was a dark green but i was told different and because im not good at mutations at all i thought it was correct, Do you Know what he is?
