  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but normal breeding is from June to January in Australia?
  2. Haha! I suppose it was just a test that your budgie has tried to see if it's beak still works
  3. OMG!!! It's so obvious to me now!!! THEY'RE BUDGIES!!! AND THE DIFFERENCE IS IS THAT ONE OF THEM IS FAT AND ONE IS SKINNY

I would say no, I don't know what metal that they're made from but I'm fairly sure that it's steel, but I still say no because they are sharp (I'm pretty sure) so, no, I would say stick to plastic bottle caps
  5. Hehe! The first one looks like a budgie mated with an echidna
  6. Flip-trainer replied to stace's topic in Jokes
    I like it
  7. This is the best option, budgies go calm when it's dark, but also, make sure it's been dark for at least 15 minutes so it's calm first
  8. The peel or the skin? I would say take both off, cuz I'm not sure whether or not they're okay :/
  9. Nawwww... they're so cute name them Snugglepot and Cuddlepie
  10. Welcome, I agree with those two because I have no experience whatsoever with beak problems (unless scaly face counts)
  11. Oh, By The Way I had a call from my cousin, he asked if the connectors were okay to use, they're perfect, if you've got the correct sized perches.
  12. Hey guys, I'm proud to say that I was part of the world record of a 30 minute class of ZUMBA which took place in the convention centre, perth. 1401 people Zumba'd beating the world record of 1224 (Texas). If anyone else participated, post here to let everyone know that you participated in an awesome event
  13. Hehe, all thanks to my Nan and Pop, I'm gonna live at their 21 acre? farm up in dongara I'll make a visit to Perth every month to do some selling, well that's my plan anyway
  14. Awwww... so cute If that harness is like the one here, than can you have small budgies?
  15. I wish you luck Ratzy Hope your breeding journey will be a breeze
  16. Ahh... okay Well, I'm a lucky cookie, because when I get my own house, the actual house is gonna be tiny, and then there's gonna be heaps of birdrooms Awesome thing is: No neighbours living in a 30km radius XD
  17. This is a great website on the safe and non-safe things that a bird can have : Non-toxic for birds list and things that are toxic for birds.
  18. A nice story you've got with you, welcome to the community/forums
  19. Well, I think the whole family's cute
  20. Wow Nice to see Finnie's babies They're so cute
  21. I used hot glue gun glue on mine. That's on advice from my vet and vet nurse who is really up on that sort of thing. They didn't recommend PVC glues. Otherwise stainless steel screws were my next option. Again stainless steel is the only safe way to go with the bells. Anything else and you will be throwing the out after a short time, as soon as they start to rust. My parrot shop has stainless steel bells for birds. Stainless steel is a bit more expensive but cheaper than a dead bird from heavy metal poisoning or replacing other metal bells frequently. Where I put the pvc glue can't come in contact with the birds, it was just to stick the pvc pipe together
  22. Are they like cow bells? Cuz they're the best ones to get for bird toys, because as far as I know, all the other types risk harming Chicken-Hawk. You might wanna check what they're made of and post on here, but I'm no expert with toxic stuff for birds, I just do a google search and HEY PRESTO
  23. They're both terribly cute! But I have to agree with Renee there, the cheeky green one is your winner
