Hi everyone, here's an update. Everyone is healthy, Yay. So both girls are coming out of breeding condition. So I was wondering how long roughly before I should expect them come back into breeding condition? Also one male seems to be coming into a moult so I was wondering if their are any tips to help them through it? Any and all advice would be great. Thankyou

Thanks for the advice, that makes sense to why pair 2 aren't interested in each other or the nest box. Pair one I'll get the male checked at the vet. So just clarifying I'm taking Leonard to the vet this afternoon depending on what if anything is wrong planning to leave the pairs for one more week, if no signs of breeding then I will seperate and try again. How long should I be waiting before I try again? That's if everyone is happy and healthy from the vet.

Hi everyone, so I'm pretty new here and I've been following and reading as much as I can. Yet I can't find the answer to my questions so i thought I'd just start a topic and ask. So I have two pairs of budgies both in breeding cages. They have both been in their breeding cage for about 16 days. All are in breeding season, based on pictures others have posted of their birds in season. My Violet hen goes in the nest box about 10 times a day for about 1minute while the sky blue cock runs back and forth along perch closest to nest box. They do sit together but I haven't seen them grooming each other or feeding each other. Please let me know what you think? The second pair a dilute blue hen and violet clear wing cock sit together but don't seem interested in the nest box at all, I haven't seen either of them looking in it or even sitting near it. Please let me know what you think? Any and all advice would be appreciated, Thanks everyone.

Hi, does anyone know if I can buy the Hagen Vision Nest Box in Australia? Or at least get it shipped here? If that's not possible does anyone else have any suggestions for plastic nest boxes? I've read some older posts but they were really old so I thought i'd start a new one to see if any new information has come about since then.

1 hen has blue 1 hen has red 1 cock has blue 1 cock has black Apparently both the ones with blue rings have never bred. The breeder told me the red ring hen has had 1 nest of babies all healthy. The black cock has never had any either. They haven't touched their food since they got home, is this normal?

Hi, I bought 4 new budgies today. Wanting to breed them. I have 2 hens and 2 cocks. Was wondering how old they are? 2 have blue rings around their leg, one has red and the last one I think has black? Please let me know what you think.

Hi everyone I'm Kaitlyn My mum used to breed budgies when I was little, now I'm all grown up and starting my own family. I wanted to get into the hobby of breeding and eventually showing budgies. I have a son named Connor who is one and a half and a loving fiancee. We have one baby pet budgie at the moment named Cosmo. We are hoping to buy some more and start breeding in the near future. I have been looking through this site and I have found lots of very interesting information. We live in Brisbane SE Last thing I just want to ask if you could please post some pictures of your budgie breeding setup. I would love to see how everyone else has setup their budgie breeding area.
