Well i dont know if it is just a summer moult or what but at least 8 of my birds have dropped one tail feather, the largest one and now they have a short tail, is this french moult or is it not contagious, if it is french moult i may as well shoot myself.

No you can't show unless you are member of a club in your state plus a member of Your state like Budgerigar society of Queensland. You can join that club that is 3 hours away just to get your rings and just be a member, but if you want to show sounds like the shows will be a distance from you also. Thanks i might do that

Well I can join a club 3 hours away! So as some know I wish to show my birds but I don't know how to how to acquire my rings to enter a show but I want to know can I purchase rings custom online and still be able to show my birds without joining a club?

The club is the Northern NSW breeders association. Otherwise your going into queensland for clubs. Do you know where it is based matt?

Hi Corzstunt, I have recently started back into the hobby and now live in Coffs Harbour and have search for nearest clubs and other budgie breeders but at this stage for me the nearest branch is the mid north coast at Taree too far to travel so i am hoping to track down some closer clubs or breeders also but i havent heard of anyone your way either at this stage which is sad that you have to look further south or towards brisbane. If you find out any info close by let me know and i will do the same . okay well i was given this 6 yr old budgie an of course being unaware of here being blind, so what should i do put her in a smaller cage because i think my aviary is too big for a blind bird or, use the unwanted alternative option of sending her to heaven not prefered as she is so lively but if it has to be done.................................. it will be, thanks in advance

I dont completely understand is this one you bought or bred, are you trying to hand raise it or arent't the parents feeding it and i wouldn't use a syringe i would use a bent tea spoon when i say bent i mean get pliers or something and squeeze the sides together and make sure the bottom is a bit smaller and shape it like a v the wide bit at top and dont squeeze it to much just give the sides of the edges 1cm room inbetween and the bottom has to be about 5mm, simpily get the syringe and squirt a small amount of food into the center of the bent spoon and as he eats it add more, hope this helps and act fast Oh he can be trialed with seed just leave it in the bottom of the nest box and change it every 3 days that is important, dont just give him seed though or he will most defiently die Best of luck, Corey

The not skypings fine, i have been very busy with a funeral today and other things, yes a big flock, 49 birds to be exact and i have 10 or so show birds so 39 pet types, but i will sell probably most of them and get all show birds because im doing my birdroom in 2 1\2 weeks so pretty stoked!

okay so here is a photo of my sky chick, the same as mum and this is my first english chick that has made it to fledging, but i have multible petypes that have bred for me so here it is, i think female but i,d like opinions please, this chick is also about 3-4cm bigger than the rest of its siblings Here is my grey green chick that i purchased on sunday for $15, it hasent moulted yet i think it is male, not 100 percent though And here is my pride and joy cock purchased on sunday for a solid $25, really happy purchase and he is on his first moult, quite pleased with his size
