okay here it is http://www.debatingsa.com.au/Resources/DebateResources/DebatePreparation/speechStructureTemplate.pdf Hope it helps you, I followed it exactly and got best speaker, well, my replacement did!!!
  2. Lol I only go into Pet shops now to buy collars for my dog. Even then we buy online. Personally I say good riddance to pet shops. The way is breeders or if you like shelters, I got one of my rabbits, (RIP oreo) from a shelter. His partner ,(RIP daisy) was from a pet shop but we got her in 2003 when we had no clue how bad pet shops were, also, I was also only about 4-5 years old.
  3. There is a lack in vets specializing in certain species. I am lucky to have the Melbourne Avian Clinic about 5mins away, and I am deeply sorry. RIP. Reporting this d***h**d will never fix the problem. There will always be idiot vets like that. But knowing that you could save other people's pets by revealing this guy, to me would be satisfying. I also don't get why he complained, your paying HIM so he should be more grateful and continue down another career path, lol RIP little guy, fly free

Lol we just finished debating in English too. I was on affirmative but could see the other side too which meant that our second speaker was ready for rebuttal. Me, being 1st speaker couldn't rebutt, but our team won all up. Unfortunately I was sick that day and so the girl who filled in, was voted best speaker. Apparently my speech was well structured. If you would like some sheets on how to properly write an debate as either 1st, 2nd or 3rd negative/affirmative speaker reply to this post and I'll try and send 'em asap
  5. Cavemen are smarter than some of these people. You only hope that afterwards they realize how stupid their question was, but I'm sure most don't... Lol
  6. Hi your budgies sound cute! Oh and welcome, I've always wanted to go to Canada! Lol know I want little degus running around so cute, and very mouse like

How do they fly? Or don't they. Sorry, but to me it seems a bit cruel. I know the term no offense is useless, but, yeah seems a bit cruel to me, giving it freedom, but restricted freedom. Just my opinion so ill agree to disagree, lol
  8. I know this ain't budgies but over the years I've heard some of my friends say these Lipbalm is poisonous I want 3 children one of each gender And in yr3 we were watching a dinosaur video, when q&a time came one girl asked " was this really filmed in real life" my teacher and us laughed but the girl was serious. The teacher said " are you asking me whether they had video cameras 300 million years ago?" She said yes. Recently we studied astronomy. We had a test and one girl failed two questions Describe the a) Sun and B ) moon in detail HER ANSWER: they are both the same Write your name below SHE WROTE: name Just name, not HER name, just name. I wonder how these girls got into high school¿?¿?!¡!¡ Lol check this website http://wildammo.com/2009/07/27/weirdest-questions-asked-on-yahoo-answers/ Funny huh?!
  9. It's amazing how a topic on budgies turned into, well, this... I'm not gonna comment on what my beliefs are, but agree to disagree and settle this. Anyway, I've seen a google website on budgie evolution. I will have to try and find it for you!

One of mine did the same thing. Here is a technique one of my friends used and it worked. Place his fav treat somewhere in his cage.. Then after a week or so place a chew toy next to it. Then after another week or more remove the treat and hopefully he will go up thinking there's a treat but there's the chew toy. This may not work, just a suggestion. Are you sure it's overgrown? My friend hsd had 100's of budgies and no overgrown, but good luck at the vets, especially if it's just a 'normal vet' not an avian vet. Tell us what happens luv Also, don't worry if your boy is different, just like us they all have likes and dislikes. I hate capsicum, he hates chew toys. The only difference is animal species really!

That's the thing when taking on a bird or any pet infact, they will always need trips to the vets. Is the $25 for a normal vet or avian vet. I don't know much about beak trimming but I don't think doing it yourself is a good idea. Any chance of some pics? are you sure it's overgrown?

I don't think that's weird, that sounds very sweet.

Yeah, I think I left it a bit too late. But I'm not gonna give up.

    Lmao Cute
  16. Just do a few little training sessions everyday for 10-15 minutes as you don't want to confuse, his or hers brain. I love your list of ideas, but I don't see step up? It's a basic trick that will help with the process of some of the other tricks so I would suggest teaching it that 1st. Can't wait to see some pics! Lol, also don't know about the air routines, hes/she's not at the Red Bull air show!
  17. I quite like him. His head looks small in this picture put in the others he looks even more magnificent! I wonder how much$$$?

  19. Wow, whadda you look like?
  20. What wa the highest priced budgie, I couldn't stay the whole time... Also does anyone on went there with there (what I'm guessing) there son? I saw a young boy there bid for a couple of birds I can sorta remember a few of you from the auction, like the $120 albino buyer. I was like the only young girl there...
  21. Hey, lot 19 went for $50

I think your green Dom pied is a cutey! And wow, 70g, my big English grey inside cock doesn't way that much! Will you be breeding from him? He looks like a long bird and good mask.
  23. Your sky blue chick is amazingly cute. If you were to give him away I would be tempted as well as your location so close, but I have enough birds to handle at the moment. Whenever opportunities like you culling or the like, happen, I reach for my wallet but I have to restrain myself. Whatever you do with him, like Kaz said, I'm sure he'll be okay...
  24. I think 5 or so days is correct. Some say 3 or a week. I am pretty sure you need a goodish light, not just a generic torch. I think ive read somewhere that the smaller torches, mini, are good. But hooray for 4/5 fertile eggs, let's hope they all hatch an no dis (dead in shell)
  25. Dont get disheartened Taylor.......there's a whole lot of people out there still confused about yf's and goldenfaces. You arent the only one I've read up more and I understand know! Thanks
