Just a update One of the three birds is like HUGE compared to the other ones wich are 2 and 3 days younger what does this mean? But they are all healthy and seam to love chewed up celery!

These are good quarantine questions, Jack, since we seem to have hijacked this thread into a quarantine topic. And helpful for other people to know. One other thing- when you were done using your kindi cage for a quarantine cage, did you disinfect it thoroughly, so it will be safe for use as a kindi cage again?. It is still being used by the same birds so no not yet. But i will when i warms up in a month or so and i put the 8 birds in the avairy i will completely disenfect it ext.

I know it makes no difference now.. But when I brought my 8 new birds they were from the one kindi cage (one had Scaly he was quarantined straight away, now fine) and I just put the same birds in my kindi cage is this okay?? My male and female that I already had (breeding at the moment) have never even been near them. When they finish breeding and everything will they be okay to go in with the other 8 birds, in the aviary when it warms up a little??

Hi guys here are two pictures of my new babbies can you see if you can find out what the sexs might be??

I know i have no experience compared to Kaz but the white rings around the nose doesn't that make the bird a female.

so for example i have two birds with chicks at the moment and the father is a normal sky blue and the mum a DF white spangle. Does this mean that the chicks will be Sky blue/Spangle? or am i completely off?

Yes is a double factor. Now one thing if she is paired to a normal skyblue as she is and they have chicks could this blue suffusion change the outcome of the chicks?

Hi all a few weeks or so ago i posted something about my first hens chest feathers falling out. Which turned out to be normal. But something odd has happened her feathers have been growning back a blue colour. And since the bird was pure white (not albino) i am not sure what is going on. Now i know the bird is at lest 12 months so that is not the problem. what does this mean??

Yes i knew that they have been getting lots of seed for a months and always have fresh fruit and veg.
