Yep she has black eyes. My male wont settle down he just flies back and fourth between perches, he has been in there for two days now. He can hear and see the aviary birds from he's cage so maybe this is the problem? Cheers

Can you please tell me what color you would get if you mixed a grey with a yellow? I have taken these two out of the aviary and put them in there own cage. Thanks

Thanks for the link Kaz, I can see a few problems already with one cock annoying the other males. There personalities are all so different with one hen who is just lovely she will nibble your finger through the wire so gently. At this stage I can see two pairs that I would love to put together in separate cages , none of the birds have shown any interest in the nesting boxes.

Hi there, When I was 15 I used to breed budgies and I went from 4 to 20 in know time lol, well I'm now 40 and have two boys aged 8 and 10 and have decided to get them into budgies and so fare it's been great fun we have put up an aviary that we got off Ebay it was a great buy, we did a concrete slab and put the aviary on it we also made sure it was rodent and snake proof. I then contacted the Sunshine coast budgie association and they were very helpful, they put me in contact with a breeder who had birds for sale, so the boys and I were off to buy some birds. The lady and her husband are just lovely people and have become our friends, we bought 8 birds of all different colors and ages they look awesome, they have only been in our aviary for a week and the weather has been shocking nothing but rain, thank goodness the sun has come out now and they seem happy. The nesting boxes have gone in and the boys are now hoping for some paring up to take place and eventually some babies, I have told them to be patient, but there kids and want eggs now lol. I will get some pics of the birds this week and post them up! Geoff
