... Typos I think! Or else Matt is just in another dimension ... I think he means: It's a whole different world when you're on that stuff- just a rough translation. It's a natural sedative to treat insomnia I think maybe Matt must be on it at the moment sending him off to la la land Is that right Matt? i think hes trying to politly say were lost it lol okay , im back that Karva is good stuff , What were we talking about?? Good on ya Dave, I am a Christian Pastor and would happily debate the good vs evil or creation vs evolution with anyone, but not on this forum! This is about our hobby BUDGERIGARS! Amen here endenth the sermon.. Clearwing Hmmmm , without starting a *** fight lets start a thread on the evolution of life and in that we will include the evolution of religon.
  4. Your right Ren , most aviarys would run at a loss and taxation are not going to where that. So that is why they stay out of the hobby world , they cannot make money from it as the majority looses . The Govt just imposes little taxes , such as the Parrot licence and dealer licences, fishing licences etc , this way they get a little piece of the Pie . They get their slice from me on the taxes on the ciggies I smoke - say no more. Tell you what , quit the cigs , buy some more birds with the money you save , then get your relaxation and time out in the aviary
  5. Man of few words!! their is a saying don't speak unless you can improve the silence mabe matt follows this rule I shall now speak GB. Never had birds on the floor until I purchased some birds from another breeder. These birds sat on the floor , from then on my birds have been going to the floor , its like a flock thing where they all join in . Personally I hate it , but as yet still working on a solution.

  7. I use to have this keyring that when you whistled it would beep back at you , it was great never lost the keys in the house again . My cousins would hide them and play games to see who could find them first .
  8. For me it was up at 6:30 , feed my birds , then breakfast , Get my son ready for Nippers and too the beach. Back from nippers , cuppa time . Ivermec birds today then a lazy afternoon.
  9. Matt I don't think it is about the legality of the ABN as much as it is about your attitude to the hobby. Budgies have been my HOBBY for 49 years, but I approach it with a business mind set. Like I said it is cut and dry , if your are registered for GST and lodge a tax return then your birds ( Aviarys) are a business . Other than that its a hobby , if you make money , good , if not ,than you dont. I know a couple of people that have registered businesses with birds. Even though you may be running your hobby as a business , you are not declaring an income and so , as you said you are a Hobby.
  10. Got an ABN for your aviary , then your a business . Other then that your a hobby , whether you make money or not is irrelevant.
  11. I believe in Genetics . You can breed with her , but you must keep good records and pair correctly so you can breed any issues out of the birds . If it is a feather cyst then the cock bird must have all feathers and no cyst problems or occurances in its family. Just like doubling up for a good feature in a bird to strengthen it in a line , the same goes for problem birds if you double up ,all the offspring are going to inheret the bad genes . All birds are different , her brothers and sisters may be fine but she may have inhereted the weaker gene pool. Only my opinion .
