  10. I like the Spangle hen best.
  11. We want to see them NOW not soon!
  12. Yep, I think the two bottom ones are lutinos. Very colourful babies in this nest. The other nudie seems to be a green one. I thought you might like these photos. Remember her?

  18. Thank you. I will take some more photos on the weekend....they are getting bigger. That is very interesting. Maybe we could start another topic in the mutation section....it would be great to hear what the other albino breeders think.
  19. I think I have to do this now: and say:
  20. yep, he is split albino. got 3 albinos or lutinos in this nest. the 3 youngest ones haven't got feathers yet as they are much younger. the hen stopped laying after 5 eggs and layed some more eggs the next week....that's the reason for the age difference. the cinnamons are a nice surprise for me. I hope for you that he got the cinnamon from his dad and not his albino mum. didn't want to upset your breeding plan. can you please explain why it is no good to have cinnamon in albinos? does it result in albinos with cinnamon markings?
  21. Hi Kaz, I think it might be stress. I witnessed similar thing at auction on Sunday. It was a budgie in a show cage though - not in a breeding cage. He did the same thing. He ripped most of his belly feathers out and made a mess of his tail, crawling around the cage like mad. I probably shouldn't have, but I bought him. He is fine now and stopped pulling his feathers out. He is sitting in my quarantine cage with 2 other birds...no more mad behaviour or feather ripping.
  22. the other chick in this nest...the light green spangle one...looks a bit cinnamon as well...will have closer look tomorrow....it's hard to tell because of the spangle markings, but feet look pink. I didn't really check for plum eyes only noticed red albino eyes and darker looking eyes...maybe they were plum eyes .
  23. Thanks guys. It's my pleasure to share the photos with you. The lacewing clutch is my first show type pairing ever...so I really want to share my experience. Hey GB....what does it feel like to be a grandmum? I've got another surprise for you: your green spangle must be split to cinnamon....
