This is my go at building an aviary! We're using a cubby house from a friend and it's almost there.... The main bit still needs painting, and fixing up a lot.... The frame thing still needs to be wired on the sides and the door..... Hopefully it'll be up and running by 30th of April, because the bird fair is on and mum and dad are hinting that I'll be able to get more budgies ( I'd quarantine inside the aviary and leave the budgies in the cage ) . Wish me luck lol !

I had a show budgie that was 12. Boof died September 2009 from a lot of things She had internal bleeding, mites I could get rid of, and I think she had a leg infection from where the vet cut her as well as a respiratory infection. That is why mum and dad don't want to ever take my budgies to the vet. They had to cough up a lot of money and she still died. They seem to think that a vet wouldn't do anything and still take their money. RIP Boofer.

Yep, it's hectic lol. My budgies are always switching partners, sometimes Marigold and Skye, Chubba Chubs and Marigold, Lexi and Skye, Thimble and Skye, Chubba Chubs and Lexi, even Marigold and Lexi and Skye and Cubba Chubs! They stay with the same bird for months! They're weird.

Lovebird's shouldn't be kept with budgies. I know somebody whose lovebird got into the budgie cage and killed one of them. Get another cage.

Remove into smaller cage with heat lamp and watch it for a bit.

Lilly was that new hen I got She was so sweet, and in the last week of quarantine she started vomiting. I waited all weekend for mum to get home so I could take her to the vet ( with MY money ) and mum sides with dad. Well, yesterday she lost her fight. I'm sorry Lilly. I'm sorry that my parents don't believe in taking budgies to vets. I'm sorry that I couldn't do more. I'm sorry you were in pain. I'm sorry you never got to live with my budgies. RIP Lilly.

We have brown snakes, my brother and I found two babies. Don't kill it, it's illegal. You could relocate it or get a snake man to pick it up for you ( if you even have one in your town ).
