Pair 3 have laid another egg , i took the Lutino out from pair one and placed her in a new cage. Tommmorow i will take a few pictures of eggs aswell :thankyou: ...Unfortunately one of Pair 5 eggs had apuncture in it . Also their nest is really messy and full of poop and stuff. I dont know if that can spread diseases . Also on the floor there was a egg thrown out but i dont know who did because all the egg numbers are the same:huh:. Could someone please tell me how to check if an egg is fertile??? Apart from that, alls good

Yes it is a dominant pied because half its wings are white, it has a stripe at the back of its head and a little patch at the lower tummy. i know that you need warmth not light but i could probably use a powerful torch because i am sure that will give some sort of warmth or else i will cant bring the bird into the garage.

Just checked the eggs. With pair one one of the eggs has either been stepped on or eaten but now there are two eggs. With pair two i think their limit is 6 eggs now because its been a few days since shes laid anything, same with pair 5.... Kaz, is it okay to put her in the garage with a torch? i dont have a lamp

All right then.... I will tell my dad. But dont call the RSPCA if i am still "forcing" the babies to breed if i cant get a new cage Gee. Colours are confusing, especially with the greens and grey-greens and the yellows but i thought that if there is a lot of ground colour on a pdominant pied it mus be DF

there are alot of birds breeding at about 8 months, so i might ask my dad about that. See, im only twelve and its not like i can go and build a birdroom. Actually there is a small shed behind the avairy which my dad mentioned we might be able to build some sort of birdroom one day....

Wow... i come back from my holiday and 6 pairs have eggs!!!! :rofl: the first pair i want to show you guys is quite confusing ... But we'll give each pair a number Pair number one... okay here are the pictures of two very naughty hens, their new names are the rebels... A lutino and a grey cinnanom... and the cock.. i dont know what colour he is but he is an opaline and is split for lutino well any way, this cock has been mating with both the hens, and they are sharing the same nest. on day one i was here, there was one egg and the next day there was 3 eggs!! i mean, how many eggs can one budgie lay, so these sisters must be really good pals to work together and lay eggs together, however i am concerned what is going to happen when the chicks hatch..... well see what you guys have to say.... im going to buy some more nests soon anyway... :rofl: and now... Pair 2 they already have 6 eggs... grey-green-yellow cinanom opaline hen split blue... and the cock is a laurel split lutino and blue and opaline if a bird can be split for opaline pair 3... they have 3 eggs a lutino hen(this picture is bad) and an aqua spangle cock(i dont know what this gu is split for, bought him) Pair 4 which have 4 eggs.. an albino hen and a skyblue opaline cock.....probably split lutino (whoops...accidently deleted his picture..he looks nice..anyway) And the next two pairs are in seperate cages.. Pair 5...have 5 eggs A grey-green spangle cock(split unknown) on the left and the hen, a skyblue dominant pied(SF) she was to fast to take a proper picture... and Pair 6 I dont have any pictures of these guys but maybe in the future the cock is a normal yellow face type two violet and the hen is a normal cobalt split recessive pied they have 4 eggs... theres this pair as well that was mating, the cock being a clearwing and the hen being a double factor spangle, but they dont have a nests...well give it a name if they lay eggs. any way, i am so excited!!! Anyone got any tips or tricks??? :question:

Hey everyone!! (missed this forum and you guys for some reason...) Im back from my holiday and got a nice suprise of my budgies which my uncle has been taking care of. there were new babies and i have some pictures... The next three budgies are brothers and sisters and all are spangles (i dont know what to call these colours) Sorry about the quality of the picture... from another pairing... this girl fell in some water....couldnt fly :rofl: shes an albino and this is another albino their normal laurel brother... and grey-green-yellow(?) cinnanom sister...sorry about the quality again... and from another pairing.... a nice laurel girl who seems to inherit her fathers feathers.... and my favourite.... a double factor pied.. :question: im so excitede!!! now i can write some breeding journals..... :rofl:

Grand total of 33 Budgies... 14 Hens and 19 Males... Should have more hens than males, but it is hard to get hens... I have too many hens...Since we both live in perth i can sell you some if you want

mmmm.....once i had to feed a baby bird and i gave her lukewarm polenta(corn pasta.) you mix it with A little water added and mixed over the stove is perfect for young bubs. if your going to use it tell me.
