I thought that I had posted a picture of them here but I guess not. One of my pairs of budgies laid eggs about a month ago and every one was fertile and all are doing great now. The oldest baby is 2 weeks & 3 days old. Anyway just wanted to share a new picture of them that I took last night.

Once again thanks so much everyone. I'm really learning a lot of great info here. I'm not thinking about mating her now but I want to when she gets older. I was reading up on recessive pied parakeets and if I can remember right it said something about them having hidden genes. How would the babies come out if I got a male recessive pied parakeet?

yes her beak is a really nice orange and her feet is pink. She never let me check under her wings but today she did and it's solid yellow. now another question...? when she get old enough to mate and if she is a real DEC and I pair her up with a Lutino Cock how would the babies come out?

She's starting to molt and the feathers on her head is turning a darker yellow. The other feathers haven't started to molt yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

These are the best pics that I could get of her. She is really young and really loves trying to fly even though her wings are clipped. Her under body & wings are also all yellow.

I just got a new parakeet 2 weeks ago from a pet shop that is all yellow with black eyes. I've never seen one like her before at this pet shop and i've been going there for 4 years. I wanted to snatch her up before anyone else did because she's so pretty. What kind of parakeet could she be?

My pair of parakeets started laying eggs about 2 weeks ago. They had four but two wasn't fertile so I tossed them away about 3 days ago. The other two are fertile that I know for sure. Anyway I candled the two eggs tonight and they are dark at one end and the other end is pretty light. I no longer see the veins and it's hard seeing movement now. Is this normal or should i be concerned?
