Making More Room
I am also just about ready to buy some birds Liv. My partner and I are in the process of putting together an aviary my dad built years ago, all we need to do now is paint it, put up the wire and install a spray system for the hot weather. How much would you be asking for your birds Liv?

Chewing Ladder
I was cleaning my budgies cage out the other day, don't know why I didn't notice earlier, and a couple of the wooden rungs on their ladder have been chewed! Is this from boredom?

Congratulations To......
:boogie: Lol, that is a good one.

Some Baby Photos
Wow, you have some magnificent colours going on there. They look great. Are they all what you have bred yourself or have there been some outside purchasing? I hope to start breeding after my aviary is finished, I want to mainly breed for pretty colours at the moment.

Me too Emma. :hooray: :bliss:  Yay, go me!!! I can't believe I got something right...with budgies, I mean.

Cere Colours In The Nestbox
Although I am a complete novice at this, I think I can see a pattern happening here. The chicks that Kaz is saying are hens have a cere that is whiteish looking and perhaps slightly more bulbish and the chicks that she is saying are cocks, have ceres that are quite pink. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Photo Update Of Cosmo
I think he's a little cutie krosp. He has interesting colouring, kind of a wish-wash of blue and green. Do you think you will breed from him eventually? It would be interesting to see what colour chicks he would have, depending on the colour of the hen of course.

Hey, my birthday is in April too!!! Mine is tomorrow (the 4th) !!! Go April!!!! So all budgies moult in April eh, you learn something new everyday here.- Pairing Some Of My Birds.
Cool! Can't wait to see pics of fully feathered chicks Liv. Great to hear they are loving the new bird room.- All Systems Go!
Wow Liv!! Looking good. You are very lucky to have a great team of workers to give you a hand. I assume you will insulate the birdroom. I'm hoping to pick up my aviary in a few weeks (mid-April), can't wait! Then I can buy more birds!! I will probably come and see you for that if that's okay and if you will have any babies by then. But that will be some time yet. Look forward to more progress pics.- The Creation Of My New Breeding Room
Look forward to the progress pics...it's all very exciting. I, too, will be doing a similar thing when I get my aviary. Nice work Dave!!! :anim_19: :budgiedance:- Going To A Budgerigar Auction Tomorrow
Beautiful birds Splat, I'm sure they will go very well with your existing birds!! Looks like you had a productive day. I like all of them. Look forward to pics of your pairings, resulting chicks, etc... :anim_19:- My Aviary....start To Finish
Wow Kaz, your aviary is looking sensational!!! Nice work!!! You must have a nice big property to fit all that on. I noticed you guys have paved the floor and then put sand over that? Yeah? Correct me if I'm wrong. I bet many forum members, including myself, are getting ideas for their own aviaries. I'm hoping to pick up an aviary soon from my Mum's. My dear old Dad built one many years ago for his budgies. We are hoping to go down to the South East soon, cut it up with the angle grinder, bring it back here to Adelaide and weld it all back together. Given the fact that heat waves seem to be becoming the norm, we will probably make some mods to cater for the excessive heat we get each year. However, until that happens I am busily gathering useful ideas for my aviary. The area where we will be putting the aviary will also be paved. Look forward to more pics Kaz.- Greywing?
I agree, a very nice bird indeed. You gotta love the violets, they are very pretty.- Violet Pairing And Their Babies!
Gorgeous babies Kazzy, I particularly like No. 2 and 3. Nice work!- Storm And Cinder
Your birds look beautiful Jen, can't wait to see pics of the babies and what colours you get. :feedbirds:- Hi
Hey, that cage is pretty much identical to the one I have! How about that. I like how you can pull out the floor, makes it so much easier to clean. My birds love their cage. I've got the perches running from front to back though. I've also got a swing, a mirror with bells on the bottom and a ladder in my cage. It's a great size for 2 birds.- Lemon And Confetti
Looking nice Teagan. Are you going to breed them? If you do, it will be interesting to see what colour chicks they'll have. Good luck with them. :budgiedance:- Time To See Chicks
Nice family there GB. Looks like the mauve has come out in chick no. 4.- My New 10 Foot By 10 Foot Shed
Nice work there GB. Nice looking birds too.- Budgie Pictures..............
Quite entertaining Kaz, look forward to the next episode.- My "flock" - Maurie
Hi Emma and welcome to the forum, your bird is a stunner! The first thing I noticed was the wing. I believe if he tries to fly, he will be off balance, maybe possibly causing himself a mischief. Correct me if I'm wrong, those of you who are more experienced. Anyway, I think enough has been said previously on that one. Welcome and enjoy! - April
