I use padlocks an my avairys as our neabiours jump the fence and don't care about the animals at all so i have to pad lock the doors and when i thought they had stopped coming over someone got into it and locked the lock fully up in the inside lucky none excaped. lucky you got your back i hate it when people do that it's so mean

She is defently not to young when i got her she was in with the babys at the pet shop and they were saying that she was younger than what she really was they were saying other budgies that had been there for about a year were still babys they didn't know much about the birds we had seen her at the shop for quite a few months before i bought her she will quiet over 12 months now her sister did not lay the eggs over and over and now her sister is breeding she has stoped attacking the eggs so her sister has had babys now. I think the reason why she was killing the eggs at the start was because she wanted one of my other males that had paired up with her sister at the start. The vet that i work at knows about all of my birds and has seen them and he says they are all healthy, happy and there is nothing wrong with them and my breeding setup is working and great. What diet are the birds on ? Trill budgie seed/ got cockatiel mix in there aswell and they get lots of greens and that grass seed What additional supplements are they on ....i.e. calcium etc. There is this stuff that we put in the water can't remember what it is called, cuttlefish and shellgrit How many birds of each kind are in your aviary ? mostly budgies, 3 cockatiels, at the moment 9 quails, 1 pigeon How old are all the birds, including the previous babies ? The youngst is only born today the oldest is about 3 years old and the ages all range How many nestboxes are in the aviary ? about 5 and they also have a big rabbit iglo on the bottom that the cockatiels have had bubs in How close are the nestboxes to each other ? There is the iglo and a box ontop of that and the rest hang of the wallgoing around the edges of the avairy Can you show a photo of the whole aviary and nestboxes ? When the camera will work and not die i know the avairy is one of the d&l classic

I have had lots of sucees in my avairy how else would i had around 22 babys and i only started my avairy end of last year start this year and they are going fine it is working. I am having no problems with my birds they are having no problems at all. my avairy is big enough for them they are all in togeather with a pigeon and the others are breeding and they are fine i havn't had problems with it they are all geting along and love each other even they are different types May I ask how old you are? (It's a serious question and I'm just trying to put things into context for you). I am only just turned 16

Thats why i said in the first post she was supposed to be to young but she isn't she has already had 9 babies her self and her sister had 3 the other day and one of her mates had one today she has always been in with others and always been like she has she is still sitting on eggs at the moment other birds have recently been born in their with her and she has left hatched bubs alone it is working how else would i of had lots of success with baby birds.

I am not responsible for the deaths they were still in the egg hardly developed and i am the one who knows what my budgie is like best. and she is a bossy one (thats the way she is and i love her like that) and i have just had another budgie today from a budgie that is not even paired up with any. and she is about to have more bubs any day she is a great mum she has nothing wrong with her at all. I have enough boxes and they use them

When i bought her from the pet shop they said she was younger i got her sister aswell than what she is and her babys have lived she has had 9 lovely babys and she was killing the other budgies ( her sisters) that were still in the eggs she is a bit of a bossy girl and her sister is a bit of a quiet girl. Yes i do have all my cockatiels, quails and budgies in the same avairy and they are all fine togeather.

i have a dwarf lop that looks like kirby called badger but he is a bit darker and has really little ears that stand up I(he is so floppy and licks all the time very nice nature) :)i got a bit mixed up badger is a netherland dwarf bunny i also have a angora x dwarf lop

I am looking at adding sea horses to my collection and i have been going around the aquairam shops about them and some say to have fake coral some say don't use it and i am geting told something different every where i go. Does anyone have seahorses and can tell me the best way to set up a tank

every time i go to my aviary my boy budgies will start flying back and forth in front of the door. one of them flew at the door as i had it open and he got all confused and didn't know where to go. When i eventually get in safely they will stand above me and purposely aim for me and i have one who keeps on jumping onto my head and the others will sit there and give me kisses and groom my hair. I love it its heaps of fun. Are other aviary like this?

I can't really hang the shade cloth up as it is on of the classic hexagonal aviaries so it is a bit hard shape to do it with good idea though

I have been looking for a aviary for a long time and can never seem to have any luck finding one It is either to big or cost to much. I want one with a safety door as i have had my dove fly straight out the door on me and my birds are starting to breed i don't want it to happen again. I live in Caulfield Australia Melbourne so if any one has something please let me know (let me know what you have.)

My pair of budgies had their first babies not that long ago after the female was meant to be to young to breed. She had been killing of the babies that were still in eggs from my other pair of budgies and than had her on kicked the baby one out at 4 weeks and went and had more babies she had 4 first litter than 5 and she has kicked the last one out just a few weeks ago and has gone and breeding again so has the pair she kept killing the babies from had her first baby Friday and now she has 3 but one sadly past away the day hatched at the same time as this has been happening my cockatiels had babies and my quails had 7 babies today.
