When Was The Last Time ....
I've only seen real snow once about 20 years ago in the Victorian snow fields. We've had a splattering of it up here a couple of times but its melted as it hit the ground, pretty much. When was the last time you sent a message to a company advising you received great service from one of their staff?

go fish (not if I can avoid it) You get into a lift and there's abad smell in there. A stranger gets on at the next floor and gives you an evil look. Do you explain that it wasn't you?

Go fish You're walking down a crowded street and see a homeless person having a heart attack and requires mouth to mouth (CPR). You know how to do it. Do you stop and assist?

Haha!! I was reading up on this as it tickled my curiosity. Sounds like the juries out... as one person said "if budgerigar means "good food" then why isn't all bush tucker called budgerigar?"... Perhaps it means good "light snack" or "canapaes" or even "Hors d'oeuvres" in their native tongue.

Yeah I was just reading in my sons new budgie book that budgerigar is actually the indiginous Australian name for them from their words "betgerrygah" which in turn means pretty bird. (I'm sure this info is all on here anyway but I found it interesting ) It says they're also called Undulating Grass Parakeets, shell parrots, warbling grass parakeets, canary parakeets and zebra parakeets by ornithologists. I think budgerigar sounds much better, thanks to our original Aussies!!

Wing Flapping
Ah is that why they do it. I always assumed our last budgie did it to clear out all the empty husks. At least that seemed to be the net result from him doing it...
