possable but the only true way to distinguish between a dom and clear flighted is that on the clear flight the cheek patches are always white or violet and white and continental dutch clear flight have may or may not have iris ring in both or some times in one eye legs are usually flesh pink or grey and flesh pink and to be honest so many people breed them thinking their doms or df doms the clearflight normally has a band around closser to under their mask as the dom mainily has a middle band as my boy shows no band or clear flights bar one and has iris rings in both eyes and violet cheek patches and as hes violet grey legs n feet im sticking to dom we could debate it for ever but its not a worry their not show breeding birds just my pet stock well dad anyway so im not bothered for now i will test breed him later for my own benifit and then when i figgure what he infact is i will let you know if anyone wants to know but other wize its not importaint unless i was sellng his chicks to a breeder but im not

dad is dom pied i can garen te my com gone i have no pics on my sons and i cant download anything to his com but dad is sky violet dom i was looking at chick and thinking spot seems to of reduced as hes feathered up but cant be rec pied unless its come from way way down line which we do know isnt imposable i will get pics of dad soon as i can get my com back and fixed it caught fire so its pretty stuffed yes in my pocket mate he / she loves it their spent two hours today with me but his spot started as big its reduced as hes grown he is dom pied spitting image to dad exept dad has one clear flight covered by other normal flights so cant see t and hes just got normal wings so i stick to my first enitial varierty sky violet dom pied full wings and yes pieds can have full wings although i have been told many times im wrong i know im not as i have breed quiet a few full winged pieds i remember trying to talk about it once before but was shut down by other more knolagable members so wont go their again but their in one the five pied categorizes anyways lets just enjoy his growing infact he may be a she also so lets just see what ends up all i know is its going to be tamed thats all that was wanted thats whats going to happen :rofl:

When they read the stuff I showed them they were like "yeah well, this is what we use and what we sell and we arent going to get a big bottle of sheep just for you". okay cool well looks like sheep wins it for me its what i been using for 3 years now (first year i didnt do ivomectiom drop on i did in water ) and if almost all the breeders i know use it and it does work as my lattest bird path tests proves that then i thinks good enough for me i do know the cattle one works i know a farmer that does his flock with it on drop on all birds hes never had one die yet and im telling you hes not bothered if he drops on to much so i guess personal prefrance once again but still interested to know why sheep one should not be giving orally yet so many do it :hap:

you dont get cobalt single factor violet anne you can get skyblue sf violet which looks like a cobalt bird and dad being a dark green and mum im guessing sf sky violet or their wouldnt be a light green chick i honestly ant even going to go into if they are violet or not but im telling you that with a sky violet whic is sf and a dark green you can get green dark green and olive so i say second chick will turn out dark green and so will the last chick as their split blue they get a sufused look intill they moult :hap: so you wont be able to tell till then violet green is a hard call in true to life so im not going to try judge two chicks in baby feather by picture but if they are will only be sf violet like mum im pretty sure , i could be wrong on that but im pretty sure

okay thats cool thanks pt and also in knowing this nubbly i can answer you your hope in that is back of neck only used only as no i know breeders who buy the one pts talking about at the preston and use it orally as it was suggested i do this as its easy than spotting it on them (fighting with one hand to drop it on back of neck while moving feathers and not being bittin and not putting to much on is not easy ) :hap: and i was told that one drop straight in mouth is safe and efective so may i ask why you say not to do the sheep one orally as the breeder that told me too they said its how most them do it ???? and no ill affect's to the bird is their something i should know before doing this and it does work for worms might lice ect as my birds have tested clear for all everything including worms no nothing finally i can rest at ease knowing their in perfict health and would hate to change that by ivomectiming them orally like suggested

it is also much easier to tame a bird in the quiet of a room as noise nerves them your done great to get their and i think will have more luck inside where hes in fermilure surroundings

i did not take him from his nest for long today as it was cold this evening and raining so no pics today' i agree tommy is perfect and he is the cheakyest chick in clutch i will get pics tomorrow during day sometime

Elly, it has gone on for 6 weeks now. On only 3 or 4 days during that six week period has he made even the slightest chirp - all the other days he is totally silent. He is still active, though probably not as active as he used to be. He seems to sleep more. His appetite is as good as ever. The only time he really livens up is when I take his cage onto the back lawn and lay it on its side, so he has access to the grass and, I guess, a different view. He starts chirping then (though not chattering), and darts around the cage, walks on the grass, pecking, etc. It really is baffling. can i ask is his breathing seem deeper as in not noisey just does he look to be breathing heavier ?

my vet knows i breed birds so he sells to me i have to ring ahead of time its just 10.00 a bottle that lasts they year i still need to know though if the sheep one is totally usless then why would he sell to me also we can get it at the shields show in preston next month i will be doing this to make sure i have the right one from now on

i do feed my birds chicken carcus and have not had this happen to my birds but it is true i would say thats what happened they may of needed the protin just like when the birds eat the feathers from the growing tails in moult or the down and feathers off a chick my birds eat the marrow and the tinny bits of chicken from the bones they love it
