I'm looking forward to this pair, Jimmy. I have had for sometime now and I have big plans for their chicks, if that makes sense. They are one of four seperate pairs that im working with. i belive all pairs will produce nice babys its really up to what your expectations are and if you trying to improve qualitys or not me im not trying to improve quality im leaving that for last im trying to work on colour

well 2009 is almost here and i have been for some time now working out what i need to breed to achive my rezult for my stock line before i go trying to breed what i think is a perfict rainbow although that is a long way off these next pairs will play a major role in achiving this alot of you may think im barking up the wrong tree with my choises but i can ashure you i know where im at so follow me if you like on a long journey to breeding a rainbow from scratch .....im talking scratch i have spent the last two almost three years buying birds and test breeding them to find out their backgrounds (if not with a pedagree)and bred a few generations when ive found out what ive got thats needed sold off the original stock and kept the second genoration and sometimes the first if this makes no sence dont worry as i know what i mean most of you have only seen a majority of my birds as im really not to good at this and i tend to put up the same birds just ones i play around with , but for now on i am going to show you what im up to so ... enjoy be intreegd and if you have questions dont hesertaite to ask ... okay first a dominant pie cobolt opaline cock and a weird but nice colour spangle cinnimon hen mabe she is opaline okay i know their was a breeding box in their but i can garentee you all these birds have not been and will not be breed yet as they are to young i did not relize this untill i actually placed them in a breeding cage together she is only goimg on 9 months and he is only 7 months i dont breed my birds till they are just a month over a year although that was not always the way i did breed them smak on one year but now i wait an extra month why,,, cause i can,so this is going to be my first important pair ..next year around april i will box them again what are your thoughts

okay im going to say i never use anything other than ivermectom and good old natural vitamins in their natural form i use cuttle bone and iodine calcium bells though and i do mix 2 kg of avarian mix budgie seed into my breeders mix budgie which i put breeders mix canary with they get horse charf with mulassice and freash bread dayly i buy 5 loafs just for my birds somethimes fruit bread in the breeding cages they get water melon corn carrot ziccini capsican rice pasta bananna kiwi fruit green beans burnt red gum and the red clay thats been heat efected every six months ,fresh grass seeds that i have grown gum tree gravilia wattle nuts and some more all my breeding cages are out side in the sun half cage covered i cover them at night or if it rains heavly my aviry get morning sun and just enough avo sun more the light of that also gets covored at night i have fantastic hatch rate and only ever had one bought of sickness which was my fault through adding an unquarintined bird the birds were taken and seperated and delt with one at a time hospital cages all over my house .. hee hee luck they all recovered exept the original problem and its partner i use salt water warm on any eye problems which only happeded once and i bath the eye 3 times a day and seperate the bird and on any minor cuts and obrashions sometimes i spray them with feather might spray just incase but only if their is sighns of this oh i also one a month add one tea spoon of linseed oil olternated with cod liver oil in all the birds seed and let sit for half hour before feeding i do not add it to my main seed suply i use a natural red mite spray which does work i make it but no added supliments oh yes my birds are pretty much my life lol sad really too everyone else but to me their my sanity

here is a question for you all i would like as many to awnser as can i read that the hen is only fertalized by the one cock for 48 hours may be a shorter time span 8 or twenty 4 not sure but the whole point it was getting at is that hens can be fertalized by several diffrent cock hence one of the reasons we separate our birds for breeding but then i read some where else that a hen is fetilized by the one cock through out the whole duration of the one clutch so who is speaking the truth? i belive that each egg is seperatly fetalized by each seperate incountor unless the egg has not had a chance to start forming and then its anybodys guess (genetics would tell trates you know) yet at the same time i dont have evidance of this as my bird are breed seperatly for a whole buntch of reasons apart from knowing who is surffing who can anyone shed some light her for me

this is my other white bird this hen was born with black eyes her father is a clearflight pie/ albeno her mother is a cobolt blue pie hen her eyes were black till her second molt then they changed she is identical to the hen i refer to in eye colour now the other bird i brought as i thought she was a good size albeno for pet type so now i am confussed as to how my dfs eyes turned pink or weather my albeno is not an albeno ? any clues another normale eye bird so you can try tell me what you think these are the chicks from the above two birds these were two of my first breed babys they are brother and sister the first picture is the very same bird above : yellow face type 2 sky blue opaline cock the bellow is his cobolt blue opaline sister
