in the wild is totally diffrent to our birds as ours are breed in captivity how ever i have a doco on parrot life and its got a really good section on budgies in the wild budgies sexually mature at 8 weeks they can breed this is due to their high mortality rate it is not how ever to say that this is nature so let it be as hence the word mortality more birds die due to this than other natural predetors no bird should be allowed a clutch so young ever they just are not phisically fit or developed just like a young girl the rezult is alot of dead or starving chicks and just lots of dead birds really it takes to much out of them
