Yf Df Spangle Hen, Yes?
Got a new hen recently. Am wondering if she is a (about 3 month old?) Yellowface DF Spangle? Her eyes look like a dark plum colour, but I'm guessing that's because of the DF Spangle and the fact she is young, correct? Though they did look slightly red in the sunlight, it's not nearly as much as an Ino and that's what's got me wondering. Thanks in advance.

What Colour?
Okay I'd say the pair at the top are two Greys. The two younger ones are a Mauve female and a Cobalt Yellowface Recessive Pied male. You can indeed breed those two together if/when they are the right age..yesyou are correct that the yellow is blue like the female but that shouldn't stop you breeding them together if you want, you'll get beautiful babies IMO.

Cast-iron Birdbath, Is It Safe Or No?
Mkay, so what material should it be made of? I just need to know what something like that could be made of or coated with that is dangerous and what is not?

Cast-iron Birdbath, Is It Safe Or No?
I want to put a sort of bird-bath fountain thing in the new aviary I'm getting. So I'm wondering if something like this would be alright? Is something made out of cast-iron safe for the birds to chew on? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CAST-IRON-HOMESTEAD...=item415322514a Thanks for any help.

What Mutation?
Fine, if not Dark Green then what? (it would be more useful if you added what you think she IS rather than just saying what she's NOT)

What Mutation?
Alright, so it's decided that the new bird is a female Dark Green SF Dominant Pied Spangle, about 2-3 months old?
-
What Mutation?
Didn't think he/she was Cinnamon but just wanted to make sure. So Spangle for sure, Dark Green..Is it Opaline or not? Oh, and if it isn't DF Dom Pied, what what kind of Pied? Certainly not Recessive Pied and probably not Clearflight either so Dominant Pied was all I could think of.... As to his/her gender, I'm still not sure as it appears more male in real life but still with a lot of paler blue/white around the nostrils than should be there if it were a male...

What Mutation?
Hi Got a new bird recently, wondering what his mutation is and also what his approximate age would be? I know he's very young, that's for sure..Anyway, I was thinking he is a Dark Green DF Dominant Pied..however, the person I got him off told me they think he is Cinnamon, but I'm not very sure about that. His colour and markings are very dark for a Cinnamon, the only brown on him is the markings on his wings. The markings on his head and neck look normal. So, Dark Green DF Dominant Pied? Cinnamon or no?

Green Or Yf Blue/violet?
She's sick? Oh dear..(luckily she is in quarantine from the main flock still) thank you for telling me!! I will very definitely keep a close eye on her.

Green Or Yf Blue/violet?
Well she appears to be moulting now, she does have faint iris rings and her stance is mainly fluffed up because it is cold at the moment. So I still think she's about probably 3-4 months, then.. If we can't tell for sure if she is Green or YF, I will be able to tell once she finishes moulting completely, right? (because she may be all green in her feathers by then, but if she is YF, under her wings wil be blue, correct?) As to what photos are the most accurate with colour..Well, depending on the light etc she looks different but I think this photo shows best what she looks like in real life: (and there's a second photo to show you her iris rings. Plus, her eyes are not fully round compared to my other birds, they are more of an..almond shape, I believe could describe it...is that genetic or could she have hurt her eye/s before?)

Green Or Yf Blue/violet?
More pictures, if that helps. My opinion is that she is probably a Cobalt Violet YF Opaline Spangle?
-
Green Or Yf Blue/violet?
No sorry, she's a petshop bird so not a clue as to her parents.
-
Green Or Yf Blue/violet?
She's about 4 or 5 months old, has already moulted at least a bit..What I want to know is if she is a Green or a Yellowface? She has a lot more blue than my other Greens at the same age currently, plus her shade of green/blue is different so I'm also wondering if she could have some Violet in her? Thanks in advance for any help. :fear

Is This Safe To Feed To My Budgies?
If it's safe to feed budgies bread sometimes..it is okay to give them (as a once-off) these pretty much pretend bread-ultra-healthy-wraps? If you need to know the ingredients: Rice flour, tapioca flour, potato flour, canola oil, dextrose, sugar, iodised salt, humectant (422), raising agent (500, 450), preservative (220, 282), emulsifier (471), thickener (466), colour (160a) I just copied the ingredients from the packet exactly in case something is in there that you know of that is dangerous to budgies. I bought these wraps and found out they were...not very nice to human taste so perhaps my birds might like them? I wouldn't want to feed it to them and THEN find out I shouldn't have!! So, can I safely feed this to them?

New Baby
I'm thinking a very suffused double factor Spangle.

Colours Of These 3 Birds?
Okay the mum is 100% a Cobalt SF Violet, as has been proven by babies she's had before which simply would not be possible if she were a Skyblue SF Violet. And you're saying the dad is a Dark Green, so really it would be possible to get a Light Green out of that pairing, right..I mean, I'm sure I've seen it where a Cobalt to a Cobalt pairing can have Skyblues, Cobalts, and Mauves? 1st is a Light Green for sure then according to all of you, thanks. :hap: 2nd one could be an Olive but no one is sure yet? Here are some more pics of her, she is not a greygreen as her cheek patches are a sort of dark purply-blue colour. (hard to describe) I would have gotten pics of her tail too but she is very young and her tail is still really short, plus she decided to half sit in the water container today....I'll get some later if you want but it just looks like a yellow tail that a Spangle would have.

Colours Of These 3 Birds?
Just wanting to verify the colours of these three Spangles. There's the dad, a Dark Green? And his two daughters(I think they are female, not sure). A Light Green? Olive Green or maybe Violet Green? Opinions on the genders of the last two would be great too. Thank you. Also, the mother of the two above is a Cobalt SF Violet.

Spangle Wing Markings
Lol she's just a baby, she wouldn't stay still long enough for me to take some clear pictures, she kept trying to hide..So here's one that shows you what I mean, I hope? Her sister has it too, just a little bit less noticeable.
-
Spangle Wing Markings
What's with this Spangle's wing markings? They turn from the normal spangle ones to almost like a normal's wing markings near the flight feathers. Does anyone know why?

Two Females?
Figured, the youngest is so hyper she/he wouldn't stop wriggling around...But her cere is just like his/her sister's cere so I'll assume a female, or at least until I get a better photo.
