Hi, On tuesday morning I got up and went outside to feed the birds and the rabbits, and walked into the aviary and I could hear cheeping, and one of my budgies(Pixie who has had a clutch this year) was hanging off the top of the Cockatiel box looking into the hole! So I ran over and looked in the box and lo and behold there was a little critter inside! I am sooooo thrilled! Harley and Shadow are great parents! One baby tiel hatched earlier last week too but was DOA:-( Was hoping badly that I would get a live one! Harley laid 6 eggs, 1 chick DOA, 1 chick alive, 1 egg cracked and had a cooked yolk inside, and 3 more eggs to go! Heard tapping noises in one of the eggs on Tuesday night, so hopefully more bubbas soon!!!!!!! Merry Christmas!!

Hi, Remember the post I put on ages ago about how my brothers rabbit just had babies? Well they are all grown up and sold now, and I was lucky enough to get the cutest one out of the litter, believe me, when they went to sell them they had mine in the cage (we were at the Kingston Show) and everyone was saying oh that ones so cute can we buy it?! Anyway, he is pitch black, soooo cute, and I need a name for him. Photos coming soon, but just imagine him for now! I dont want a common name, like Blackie or something, I want something more out of the ordinary. He is extremly friendly, very sweet, straight up ears, all black, medium length ears. CYA

Hi, I have an old dresser of mine that I am going to turn into 4 breeding cabinets for budgies! Each cabinet will be approx 90cm long, 38cm wide and 32cm high. Is this big enough? I will attach the boxes on the OUTSIDE of the cages, held in place by those L shape brackets you can get from Bunnings, and run a couple of Dowel perches - Bunnings again! across the cage. Will put wire on the front, with access doors on front and sides. Hoping for slide out tray too, think I can do this by the way its set up. Will sand off any paint that the budgies could possibly get to. Any advice and comments/criticism welcome, Thanks, Sam :28:

Thanks Splat and LBB I sure do love animals and is it rubbing off on some people I know I changed one of my friends into a rabbit and cockatiel breeder! I have loved animals since I was born - LITERALLY and have always had some kind of animal be it cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, horses, guinea pigs, mice, rats, fish, lizards etc etc!!
