The only reason I said that is I haven't seen a heavy marked YF2/GF2 chick most of the time they have more blue and then they molt into the green but yes a pics of the chicks front and even under the wings would be excellent. But then again, if it was open breeding and not closed and they are green chicks and the dad is a blue series that would also explain that little M.S Hen was being a hussy No...no messin' around going on. All breeders are set up in separate breeding cages. Not open breeding. Will post the pics of fronts and under wings of green chicks tonite will take outside so there will be no flash.

I have 1 hen that will lay 1 or 2 good eggs then a soft egg??? Why does she do this? I have cuttlebone in cage as well as mineral grit and I supply all breeders with liquid calcium in their water. What else can I do?

No Pair 4 are the parents of the yf violet and greens. Not certain what the cock in that pair is ...could you help me out on that please. Also what would be the best color to pair up the opaline clearbody hen with next breeding season. I am new to the breeding only taken over since my Dad died in December, hope to make him proud. I have been told different things just wanted to ask a few of the experts....can the budgies [hens and cocks] be kept together in a big flight cage when not breeding? Or does this cause problems when I try to pair them up to breed? Thanks for all your input. Sue Ann

And as for the lutino..no definitely hen..she has laid a clutch..just no luck only one hatched and it died Then I had someone tell me ino to ino results in smaller babies so should I pair them differently or leave them since he is not true albino? Was told he is ..but the faint wing markings?? He does have the red eyes. As does the lutino hen next to him...notice her belly feathers...what is this? None of my other hens have it...just curious.. also...are they a good pair or do you have other suggestions on what colors to pair them with. I have a lutino hen..red eyes and no markings other than white cheek patches...my question is what color cock is the best to pair her with? I also have an albino[maybe] he has the red eyes but has very very light tanish markish...if needed i will post a picture..not certain what color hen to pair him with for the best results? But when I went to feed this morning it was out of the nest. There are 5 babies in all in this particular nestbox...is this a normal age for the baby to be out of the nest? I put him back in the box ...anxious to see if he is out in the morning. What age should they come out of the nest and also what age do I separate them from the parent cage?
