Lime Budgies
I am far from even being educated in the budgie world but those first pics from the book remind me of the fallows that a breeder I know has. I have a baby lacewing that has those wing markings like your bird.

Baby Lacewing
No Dad is a REL...the chick looks just like Dad. Mom is I think a Lutino or a Lacewing herself.

Baby Lacewing
Hi all just wanted to post some recent pics of my baby Lacewing. I am so proud of him/her? Remember this is the only one I got from my Lacewing X Lutino pair. Although I am wondering if the hen I thought was lutino might be a Yellow Lacewing? I know you all can help me on that. First is the baby I adore and the his Mom. Let me know what you think. Thanks SueAnn http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll315/S...es/100_0473.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll315/S...es/100_0508.jpg Mom: Will post better picture if needed just let me know what angle. Thanks again everyone! http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll315/S...es/100_0534.jpg Moderator’s Message pictures over the size regulations, please read rules before posting images, thank you

Grey Green? Dilute? I Don't Know Please Help
For the record I have no cinnamons in my aviary, I am new to budgies, but I was told by a man who has been breeding for years and years that the mom is a greygreen opaline. He never even mentioned the greywing, but I myself have wondered if she is a greywing as well, I have a violet greywing hen but like I said being new I am uncertain still. It is possible that Mr.Davis overlooked the greywing in the mom as he is an older gentlemen and I was constantly throwing the questions out there at him...LOL. If more pics are needed please just let me know. Thanks to all for the help. SueAnn

The Ino Baby
I am not sure if any of you remember but I had posted a picture of the parents on here a while back to make certain this was a good pair, I had such trouble getting a chick from them ...they will not be paired again. For some reason I had 3 of the chicks die...2 from the 1st round and 1 from the 2nd so after the 1 from the 2nd clutch died on me I took her eggs and fostered them. This is the only one that hatched and thank god I finally have a chick! Here are the parents again...next time the sire is going with a violet hen I have, hoping that will be a good pairing. I have been working hard and watching my birds closely. As in my post yesterday I am definitely looking forward to my first show, I have a man who 'mentors' me and has really been helpful so with any luck! My best to all and more later! I am guessing the chick is going to be a lacewing?? and hen? Let me know if I am right. Thanks! Hen and her Sire: This is the Sire: Their chick:

My First Clutches...all Fledged!
- Members Greywing Budgies
I have been told he is a skyblue grey wing:- What About This One...he Is?
I apologize for taking so long in posting this. Birds,kids,husband...need I say more.(Laughing out loud) Here is the picture of his tail. Let me know..had someone tell me he is a clearwing? But you say greywing correct?- I Have 9 Breeder Pairs Set Up Now
Thankyou Norm...and everyone else for their help.- I Have 9 Breeder Pairs Set Up Now
All of my breeder pairs are set up with cuttlebone and mineral grit...oystershell grit is also available in a separate dish. They are also fed fresh fruits and veges..baby spinach leaves and fresh sprouts are their favorites it seems. They are all given millet spray, I feed higgins parakeet mix and protein 25. I add liquid calcium to their water usually once a week.- I Have 9 Breeder Pairs Set Up Now
I have had luck with most ...but there are a couple that I have had not even had lay an egg...1 pair hen lays soft eggs. My question is ...Would it be alright to pull the hens and put them back into flight and then put a different hen back in with the cock for the next round? Or is this not a good idea? Also I have a cock on loan and have 2 hens I would like to breed him to...His current hen is in nest laying eggs...3 so far. So can I go on an put him in with the other hen in another breeding cage? Or do I have to wait till the first hen raises the clutch? Thanks for the help. sueann- Re: What Is He?
You can go here for more pics of him ...his hen and the clutch. http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/su...ies%20Pair%204/ The clutch has all fledged successfully...keep an abundant supply of different foods for them so I have had no trouble getting them to try new foods. They are so cute and so very curious. Thanks to all the wonderful advice and information here I have successfullly fledged my first clutch. My Dad would be proud. Thankyou to everyone!! I hope we get a final decision on what he really is...I know he is a really pretty bird.- Re: What Is He?
So would a lutino hen be a good mate for him? Closer picture of cock in question: http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/su...h/Pair4cock.jpg- What About This One...he Is?
Keep looking at picture after picture but it is next to impossible to find pics that look just like my birds... Trying to figure it all out...what is he? This the pair ...she is a normal skyblue?? I think...but not even a guess about him or the babies. And here are their 3 babies: http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/su...Pair5oldest.jpg- What Should I Pair Her With?
I have a beautiful lutino hen...just curious if there is a particular color/mutation that would be best...looking to get more lutinos if possible. She is the only lutino I have. Is the lacewing next to her a good mate? Here is a better picture of him:- Re: What Is He?
100% absolutely these are the parents of all 5 babies My dad had all the hen budgies together in one flight and all the cocks together in a separate flight. Near each other but no way for contact...I paired them and these 2 are in their own breeding cage. So still no positive id????- Re: What Is He?
Here are some closer pics of the male budgie in question ...hope this helps everyone to decide what he is for certain. And here are the frontal pics of the 'green' babies and a couple of the 2 blue babies from the clutch: anxious to see everyones decisions.- What Is He?
Dad has the spot...forgot the cam at feed time this evening sorry all...will post first thing in the morning. Did look under dads wings tonite and on his belly yes I do see the blue.... but he looks green and so do the 3 babies. I am new so maybe they aren't green at all ...just look it to the untrained eye. Trying to learn...please have patience with me. Will post new pics of all of them in the a.m. Till tomorrow.- Hen No Good For Breeding?
Its a SHE Thanks Kaz...you have been a TERRIFIC help to me!- Hen No Good For Breeding?
Its a bourke...my dad had a few some time ago...this is the only one left...and since my daddy's not with us any longer I just don't have the heart to get rid of him..or her? Not sure how to sex those?May get it a mate though...feeling sort of bad for him. Thankyou....understanding that the more thought I give it.And obviously if I 'visually' see a problem should not breedbecause somewhere down the line it may come out. Love all of the help from everyone and thankyou for using 'laymans terms' (Laughing out loud)...I have read and read online...and some of that mumbojumbo I'm still thinking 'jeesh'....needa website...budgiesfordummies ....(Laughing out loud) ...anyway thanksto all again! - Members Greywing Budgies
