Hi there, my name is Derricka and I'm new to this site and budgies but I wanted to say hello to some like minded people. I have 2 budgies and they have just had their very first baby. He/she is about 4/5 weeks old (I think) as his/her feathers are coming in. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong! His mother is Billi and she is going on 4 years and his dad is about 2 years. They are brilliant parents, very attentive. I don't know much about budgies or breeding but I am in the process of reading as much info on this site as I can. I've already learnt several new things in my short time here and I certainly look forward to learning even more. I've included some pics for you to look at. If anyone can tell what sort my birds are I'd appreciate as I know so little. Thanks!

The boy is Oscar and he is a bit over 1 year old. They have just had their very first baby and he is (I think) a bit over a month old as his feathers have started to come in. They are brilliant parents. I don't know much about budgies or breeding but I am in the process of going through the info on this web site. So hopefully I won't remain ignorant for too long. I look forward to learning more.
