I tried that one and it looked great at first, but then it started to look dirty real quick. I now use a piece of busy patterned fabric which blends in with the poop and mess. its easy to clean with a shake out side and a wash here and there

My hubby is a cacti crazy man.... He will be able to tell you all about it if you are interested. Plants that size can be quite valuable too - if you ever get sick of it or it falls over, don't chuck it into the bin. chop it into 30cm pieces and you will make youself quite a bit of $$$$ on ebay

I have a budgie and 2 cockatiels that live together happily inside. they get a long great. I have 6 more tiels out side living with 20+ budgies in an aviary. Provided there is enough space and neither bird is overly aggressive there wont be any issues I find they tend to keep to themselves most of the time.

No idea - I always just thought of tin/metal ones being more permanent and less vulnerable to Mice, mites, mould and other nastiest that love wood.
