    Math
  2. I am so Sorry  That was so unexpected BIGGEST HUGS!!!! xoxox
  3. I agree - they look fine. Your first boy is almost done Your second boy will be in the wars for a little longer. treat for scaly face like Kaz said too You could use some cooking oil on him because its so mild. aply to the affected area 1-2 times a day for 5 days.
  4. I am not the best with genetics but i thought two yellow faces together would give DF (double factor) yellow face babies, which would actually have white faces.
  5. I have not come across vetafarm products here in SA either and when i talk to the people who run the shops, they are like "Yeah, that name rings a bell... ??? ??? " Internet would be a better bet for getting moulting aid
  6. They are the symptoms of a heavy moult - mine all did that when i changed their seed brand earlier in the year - I will never do that again!!! poor little guys They are bleeding because they are over rubbing the growing blood feathers. Blood feathers on the head are rarely a problem, but you still need to keep watch encase they break a number of them at once. Has their food changed in any way before the moult?? There is not much you can do other than keep them well fed with quality foods. Watch for bleeding and try not to stress them with anything as they are already stressed. The pin feathers coming though means the end is near. I hope they are both feeling better soon.
  7. I would cut your long perches to fit across the 40cm width of the cage. Place both perches at the same height at opposite ends of the cage so there is lots of room in between. If one budgie is taking power over feed dishes, perches and toys etc. just change the cage completely so its all different. give new toys, new looking food dishes (try the same size ) and give them some fresh natural branches and perches to chew. I am quite lax with budgie squabbling - my theory is, if they are not drawing blood or causing stress, then there is no problem.
  8. Ozzy is a handsome light green Opaline spangle. I am not sure what would be a good hen for him though - depends on what you want baby wise. I look forward to your other pictures
  9. I am not really sure which one is witch but the one in the middle is too cute and would be my favorite

Welcome back! Congratulations on your babies.
  11. They look fantastic coloured!! I agree with Libby, you are very talented
  12. Thanks - yes it did have red eyes. Liv - how can you tell from this picture that it's a female? Or is it a sex-linked thing? red eyes is not cinnamon then - well spotted Libby and Norm cinnamon is sex linked but as it's a fallow i dont know what it's gender would have been - the others may know
  13. This one is a violet cinnamon spangle - VERY PRETTY and would have been a female. The bub on the right has REALLY REALLY REALLY nice spangle markings!!!!!
  14. I agree, a picture of your setup will help lots. Also, are they really fighting, or more bossing each other around. It is quite normal for hens to be quite bossy at times.

I use sand!! It puts an end to the scraping And i love all the little footprints they leave in it
  16. Hello and welcome!! It is great to have you here. I hope they dont keep you waiting too long. I look forward to pictures of your previous budgies
  17. Yes, Tex is a sky blue opaline cock It is fine to keep males and females together provided there are no nesting sites present. Males can also be over bearing on a female if they are "in the mood" so you need to keep an eye on them to and be ready to separate them if things get too heated. I dont know anything about inbreeding - it is not something i want to get into.
  18. You have really nice birds! your tiel Freebie is really nice too - looks like my Sammy
  19. WOW!! That is an awesome setup and you have some very nice birds So pleased you got photobucket working :hap:

Yes. The North East Budgie Club Do you want to show budgies in the future if you are not already?
  22. Its George mostly I read childrens books to them, ambarasing I know so maybe he's tying to tell that story in his own way?? I think only you can really answer that question at this point. if it sounds like he is talking to you, then he probably is starting to. He is not understandable to us, but if you can hear a change in his voice, then that's all you need to know he is learning
  23. I'm so sorry. I hope you get him back ((((Hugs))))
