  10. Sounds like he is feeling a bit better which means the medications are working  Still take him back to the vet though as the fluid on his lungs will make him sick again - so best to catch it before it becomes infected.
  11. Can you post a picture please? There is a link in my signature to help with posting photos. To me it sounds like a respiratory infection - but if the antibiotics (which need to be given for 10 days) didnt help at all then he really needs to see an avian vet as he may need something stronger
  12. I put a tiel on a plane earlier in the year - If you feel like adding water you can provide water in a little plastic cup that is glued to the bottom of the cage and filled with lettuce.

  21. **Liv** replied to budgiegirl's topic in Pet Shop Chat
A pet shop will take budgies from anyone so there is no guarantee that the bird is safe - its not always about the shop - its about the bird. If the budgie in the pet shop came from an aviary where the breeder didn't give mush care then the bird is likely to have a number of issues. There is know way of knowing the background of birds in a pet shop. This is why we always recommend cutting out the middleman and going straight to a breeder - you will see first hand if the budgies are of good background and the breeder can fill you in on anything you need to know
  22. If its in his lungs he could get pneumonia

  24. Yes, you need your avian vet to teach you how to do it and you need to buy a crop needle and syringe If blue has aspirated on his medication (got it into his lungs) then its not good - if he had a little get into his windpipe, but not in his lungs, then he will cough and splutter for a while, but should clear up soon.
  25. What a shame Toecutter didn't use the brilliant home you made for her Good luck with her nest on the floor.
