Breeding Pairs
It woud make quarantine easier if you got them from the same place as long as you can be sure they aren't related to each other.

What Will Chicks Probably Be?
Not quite - I don't breed birds under 12 months. The cock is about 14 months, he has a split slate colored ring on his leg as do most of my birds for my records.

Some Of Our Breeding Results
Yes the cock is split for opaline and cinnamon - his last clutch has 4 opalines and 1 cinnamon. I am feeling a little better thanks Maesie especially after I got the full arm length plaster off yesterday, now I just have an arm sling for 2 weeks and then they will review it again and hopefully I won't need an operation after all Thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments. We are very pleased with the mixed assortment of these chicks.

Oldest chick looks to be going to turn out like the Dad. Will take some more pictures in a couple of days when there is a bit more color.

How Many Budgies Can I Fit In This Aviary?
That seems a lot of budgies for a smallish aviary. I have one that size and only have 4 canaries and 4 finches in it and that seems enough.

Paediatrician Visit
A question???? If you do what you have suggested above, and then enroll him the following year, because of his age, wouldn't you have to enroll him in grade one??? Not prep? AND wouldn't this kind of defeat the purpose. Holding him back because he is not ready for school, but then when you send him, unless you have been able to teach him everything that get taught in their first year of school, then he will still be behind???? I'm not having a go at the idea, just trying to get my head around it I am not sure about that, i would have to talk to the principal of the school and see what happens. If i did homeschool i would have to teach him everything that he would normally learn at school. He is very smart but his social and emotional development is delayed which is why i want to hold him back. He has no problems learning if it is one on one but he hates groups so put him with a classroom of kids and he would get anxious so he would misbehave. I can understand you feeling anxious about Jadon being anxious with a lot of other kids but that is going to happen whatever time you start him at school. Wait until he is assessed, depending on the results, he should be entitled to an aid with funding from the education department so he would have some one on one at school.
