  1. My two doggies I own a 7 yr old blue heeler x kelpie girl named Bindi And "half" own a 3 yr old Pomeranian named Roxy - She's my partners parents dog but has lived with us for 2+ years now due to their work commitments. you can't see all of them because we got them some new clothes the other day So i had to post up pics of them in their hoodies and t-shirt - Roxy dancing - Bindi dancing - Roxy and Bindi - Roxy showing off, her shirt says "mummy's princess" - Bindi begging for cheese
  2. Exactly, if he wasn't a yf2 sky he'd be sky blue
  3. By saying yf2 sky bird it means that he has the yellow face mutation which washes over his body colour which is in the lightest form (no dark factors) sky. There's three levels of blue, sky, cobalt and mauve... all of these birds will normally have a whiteface, unless it carries the gene yf (yellowface) Now there's two types of YF... type1 and type2... Type one is reserved for the face area only as a general rule and will not touch the body colour of the bird, leaving it totally blue and totally yellow.... Type two however is when the birds yellowface washes over it's body colour to create a greeny/blue colour. Due to how the yellowface presents itself on your bird and the light blue/green of his stomach I would think he'd be a yf2 sky. Here are two pictures of birds so you can see the difference between the Type1 and Type2 - type1 bird - You can see how the yellow face is still yellow and the blue is totally blue - This bird is a yf2 - you can see how the yellow is still in the face, but the blue has had it wash over it and turn to an aqua colour
  4. agree with Kaz, mauve opaline and a yf2 sky greywing split to recessive
  5. Eccy cocks are green Bob and I are looking into Eccy's to hand rear, there's some going for 300 dollars in nest here So tempting for such a gorgeous bird and soo cheap which can be raised to our own standards, but with the Lori's and the Cocky's and all the other birds It will probably be too much to handle. I've also heard they're VERY loud... Which when having a sulfur cocky isn't really what i'm wanting... A birdy "p*ssing match " Anything can be the tamest of pets, just depends if you will be hand rearing and training it yourself or relying on others... I personally would not reccomend a barraband though VERY had to tame, even Peggy has gone feral now... although still puts up with my **** and will allow herself to be handled

BindiI!! gees Neat it has an extra *I* :hap: or else it sounds like you're stepping on my dog LOL! Her names Bindi
  7. You're still washing out the greywing/cinnamons colour with flash... try a picture without it and try to capture the tail in this also The grey is still definatly an opaline.
  8. How old is the bird?
  9. This grey IS opaline. And the green cinnamon wing appears to be a YF by the body colour, could be either cinnamon or greywing... Can you get a better picture of that one without flash?
  10. Hope so Last december our temperature soared... into the mid 40's...

I used to cry and say sorry when i stood on a snail LOL only thing worst than the crunch and getting stabbed in the foot by snail shell was feeling a slug ooze in your toes :S Another bad one was my cat leaving a dead mouse on the front door mat We won't go into what happened with that one
  13. Agree with Kaz, guesstimations can be made, but it would be much easier to be definate with photos.
  14. When hungry the birds do that too me also... I don't think it's necessarily a friendly thing (no offence) more of a which will harm us more, starvation or the human friend who delivers the meals... All prons and cons added up to eating off you LOL! They do it also when they really want grasses and so on and you hold it out for them

Each time her rushed out I told him to take something big to *THWACK* it with LOL Dad was all involved and happy to help also, apparently back in the day he used to have to guard some cabbage patch from rats ??? And got to kill rats with his other Karate mates by kicking them Hahaha He thought it was a big fun game LOL!
  22. I would say clean it with salty water and let the wound dry out and heal... I've tried antiseptic cream on a chicks open wounds on it's head from it's mother, in my opinion all it did was make it worse... He will probably need crop feeding until it's dried up enough that it's comfortable to use

Well good news and bad news... The good news, no babies or any harm was done last night... The bad news Around midnight Bob and I were in bed when we heard a hens angry squaking (You all know the kind) Due to the cabinets being next to my bedroom window we took this as our warning sign something was disturbing them... Well Bob ran out there in boxers and all to find a rat (not able to get into the cabinets due to the new wire we put over them) It hid behind the cabinets for a while as Bob harassed me through the window what to do about... I said I personally couldn't make the decision ... He smashed the cabinets up against it on the wall All we heard was a squeek... Half an hour later we heard another angry hen, again, Bob ran out in his boxers, the rat had gone
