Anyone Ever Had A Bird Fall Off Their Perch
Nope she seemed fine today, and I turned on all the lights and get her out and looked her over she seems fine. At the moment Lime (her husband) is sleeping on the grill next to the tea towel and she has crawled back onto the perch. Hmmmmmm

BIG gym little birds! Love it!

I Think I Need Help
I agree with what has been said above me however depends on how much time they spend out of the cage. my friend has one around that side but she works from home and the Budgies come out at 7 or 8am and go back in about 8pm so they are really only in it to sleep. if they are going to be spending more time then that in it then i would not be looking at putting more then 2 in it.

To All The Usa Members

Honest Ebayer
I was looking at this cage on ebay but not sure about width of bars. So I asked the ebayer what the width between the bars was and would the cage be suitable for budgies. His reponse "No sorry, the width is to thick and you run the chance of your budgie getting out or getting their head stuck." WOW someone who is not out to make a quick buck!

Anyone Ever Had A Bird Fall Off Their Perch
Lemon just did it, freaked the **** out of me. She seems fine, woke everyone up however. Because the bottom of the cage has a wire grill I have put a folded tea towel down in one corner in case she does not want to sleep on the perch. Hmmm I know she is an older bird, maybe I should up the vitimans that I give her in her water? or maybe it was just a freak thing. Maybe I am just worrying to much!

Sky Update And ? About Crop
I agree none of my guys get grit outside of sometime calcuim bells and perches claim they contain grit. I found out that the pervious person to have her gave her girt and it made up at least 50% of her diet. That is why i am worried that it might be grit that is stuck in her crop however both the vets she has seen told me that you can feel the seed and grit is normally larger and more painful for the bird to rub between your fingers. She does not seem to mind me doing it so I am thinking it might not be but worried that it is... does that make sense It does not seem to be bothering her, she is eating and drinking well, she had some time out in the garden today in the sun and LOVED it was giving herself a really good preen and also took a bath. So I feel she is getting better and I am not going to run to the vet again until her check up but the crop positioning does worry me.

Sky Update And ? About Crop
Thanks Neat, I am really starting to feel like this Budgie could cost me $100s in vet bills... oh wait she has cost me over $200 so far and she is not even mine. As good as it feels to see her getting better I am starting to feel like she is a lost cause...

Someone Stop Me!
Nope I need my 10 breeding cages to arrive on Wednesday just past as they should have, I need the builder to have rocked up today after i spend most of last night clearing space for him to start work on my breeding room like he should have! I need my sister to agree to letting my convert the rest of the garage into flights like she orginally did but then went back on her word! I need Quarrentine to be over for like 5 birds and Sky to finally get better and be able to be moved into the avairy.... At the moment it takes me ages to do anything! I have to be so careful cause I have so many different quarrentine stations and after what MB told me today I am not going to be slack about them.... So it's do one cage, wash clean rise repeat... do next cage it takes me about 2 hours to do the rounds each night not to mention the vacuming.....

Someone Stop Me!
Thanks Kaz that means alot coming from you! Arghhhh well maybe???? Hold on have to count, 8 in the aviary, 3 in patio, 2 in house cage, 1 in sick cage, 2 in breeder one, 2 in breeder two, 1 in a loan cage and 1 in a hospital cage (not cause she is sick but cause it's the only one I have left) so that makes what 20.... When Boof is older I might put them together (in like a years time), I would like to put her with Harley because he is a show type that is just VERY small (why I got him from the breeder, I always thought he was big but now I know otherwise) they might give me some blues that are bigger... hopefully... if I ever get my breeding cages *stupid couriers and their stupid SOPs, kicks courier*

Sky Update And ? About Crop
That's what i thought but i am sure that it is... See I was thinking that, maybe she had chicks or something and just has a case of the saggyness.. I was advised to withhold food for a few hours to see if it emptys which it seemed to as I can't feel as much seed in it but still sits out like that. Hmmmmm

Sky Update And ? About Crop
okay so her vent is 100 times better and she seems better in herself. She is still doing the strange tail bobbing thing but I don't think it is linked to her breathing as it seems random. However her crop is now worrying me. Hopefully you get the idea from the picture but it is larger then any of my other guys. When I rub it betwen my fingers I can feel what appears to be seed in it but maybe it's grit that has not cleared?? Any suggestions or do you think it should be like that?
