thanks for the warm welcome everyone! elly that’s so cool! i’ve met a couple who has adopted a korean baby too! though he’s still only 4 now.
  11. ooh, so show budgies really are a lot bigger! and sorry elly, i didn't mean the throat spots, but the fluffiness of the throat feathers. haha. but what you say makes sense... and i'm sorry about pretty!
  12. thanks! were merlin's "throat" feathers always naturally like that? he never looked like a non-english budgie? and could you describe how they're different personality/health wise?
  13. how can i differentiate between a baby american budgie and a baby english budgie? do english budgies look poofy even when they're very young? i'm asking this because english budgies' appearances don't particularly appeal to me, and so i'd like to avoid choosing one not knowing that it's an english budgie. thanks in advance!
  14. they're all so cute! glad to hear they're doing well.
  15. how exciting! congratulations!

hey, i'm a korean teenage girl living on long island, a current junior in high school. i was born in seoul, korea, and immigrated to the US as a 5 month old baby. since then i've lived in north carolina, texas, and various locations in long island, new york. i also used to have a budgie, but she passed away when i was in 6th grade. recently i've become reobsessed with budgies and found this community, which seems to be very populous and active! so i hope i'm welcome here, even though i don't currently own any birds i'd love to have a budgie, but right now i'm busy with school, to the point where i can't even keep my room clean. and there really isn't a good spot to keep a budgie in my house. i spend the most time in the living room, but it's right next to kitchen, and we love our non-stick cookware. haha. so maybe, when i'm older (perhaps an upperclassman in college?) i'll be living on my own and i can finally get a budgie!!! that's a long wait, but right now i can get my fill by looking at all of your pictures! :ausb: edit: oh, and if you couldn't tell, i'm VERY proud of being korean! wooooooo! in my free time i watch a lot of korean dramas and movies to the point where i'm sure it's a bit unhealthy. heh.
