I use Watto`s mix,buy it by the pallet from the grower.

I would`nt think.The mateing would have anything to do with the laying of the egg.To be honest,I very seldom see my budgies mateing.Perhaps they do it when the light comes on at 05.30 in the morning in the breeding room.Its 09.00 before I go to the aviary to feed & check the birds. :feedbirds:

I would put some oil around cere & beak.If there are mites on the legs, there ps afair chance they are around the beak.

If you mate a double factor dom pie to a double factor spangle =100% SF spangle dom pie.Mate a double factor spangle to Sf dom pie =50% spangle,50% spangle dom pie.

Get some hulled oats.They will help keep him in condition.Soft food,but feed it dry.

If you are going to take him back to the vets tomorrow,put a bit of paper under his perch tonight.To catch the droping & take them to the vet when you go & they can test them for any problems he might have. :feedbirds:

Are they the same sex.The cage may be to small & 1 a bully.There could be other reasons.But not being able tp look at them,I would be only guessing.

Thats right Daz.Our club are haveing ameeting about it on Saturday.Not that it is going to make much difference.But it will make me feel better & others in our club.Something as important as this,should have gone to all the members.To take a vote onit. :yelling:

If you don`t take at least one of them to a vet to look at.By this time next week you might nor have any birds left at all.The vet may be able to give you some medication for the birds that are left.You have abig problem go to the vet.

Daz, This is why I use the budgie breeding program. These xyz genes,I havent got a clue.They make my head hurt just thinking about it.

Close off the nest box for 3 days & trim or pluck the feathers from around the vent of both birds.
