Genetic Expressions, Splits, Etc.
Remember i asked questions in "Some Genetic Question" and then in "Calculating the Percentage...I went to some websites that told me autosomal dominant and recessive. And the a and x idea i got from my mom because shes a mathamatician. It took my like an hour to do. Then I made this to help people figure out when something is visual and when hidden or not expressed.

Calculating The Percentage Of The Babies In A Pair

Genetic Expressions, Splits, Etc.
Genetic Expressions This shows which genes are expressed or visual and which aren’t. Single factor means the bird has one copy of the gene, double factor means the bird has two. (a) means that the bird has only one gene. (a x 2) means the bird has two times the same gene. (a + x) means the bird has two genes but they are different. Autosomal Dominant 1 Dominant gene: Yes >single factor< 2 Dominant Genes (a x 2): Yes >double factor< 2 Dominant Genes (a + x): Sometimes 25% both expressed, 25% a expressed, 25% x expressed, 25% neither one expressed >single factor unless neither one is expressed< Sex-Linked Recessives Males 1 sex-linked recessive (a): No, but split 2 sex-linked recessive (a x 2): Yes 2 sex-linked recessive (a + x): no, both splits Females 1 sex-linked recessive (a): yes Autosomal Recessive 1 recessive gene (a): no, split 2 recessive genes (a x 2): yes 2 recessive genes (a + x): no, both splits i hope this is all right if i made a mistake, please correct me

okay, so what if you have a sf spangle and sf domiannt pied, would you get 100 percent dominant pied spangles??
-
Zeuss And Sophie
the bubs are so cute, and melon looks so colorful. the gene thing i did, i am not sure about because SInce you hav one sf dominant pied and one df spangle you might get spangle dominants so i am not to sure that what i did was right....
-
Zeuss And Sophie
would it be like this (assuming df spangle and single factor dominant pied) 12.5 percent cinnamon single factor spangle hen 12.5 percent single factor spangle cock split to cinnamon 12.5 percent cinnamon double factor spangle hen 12.5 percent double factor spangle cock split to cinnamon 12.5 percent cinnamon single factor dominant pied hen 12.5 percent single factor dominant pied cock split to cinnamon 12.5 percent cinnamon double factor dominant pied hen 12.5 percent double factor dminant pied cock split to cinnamon and all should also be opaline

Splits & Hidden Colors?
in a post on another forum someone said that it might be possible to find out if a budgie is split to opaline... There was a really long discussion and I think they ended up with saying that if a budgie has a little spot of body colour on their wings they are probably split to Opaline. bea, you probably read it too did you??

Could Someone Help Me With This Budgie Type?

Broken Feathers
feathers can break off but it only happens rarely. Does cittrus play with something that the others dont play with ??? If yes, check if there is anything sharp there. If the zoo cant help you out you might want to try to look for a regular vet or ask the people in the zoo..

okay. I think i get it. one more question, just kidding probably 1000. If a male budgie has two sex-linked genes that are diffrent, none of them are visual or expressed, which would make both splits? Is that right? - Popcorn ?
