  6. There are a few ways - I use a treatment called coopex . I make up the solution, and treat the whole area I toss out all Perches and branches and replace with new ones. I paint the solution on any nest boxes especially in the gaps and joins. I spray all nesting materials with it too, when the birds go in - they get it all over them, treating them too ... You can also you a lice and mite spray ...Red mites mainly occur if you have an open roof ( mesh roofing) on your aviary, unwashed branches and stumps As wild birds carry itYou can use the ivermec stuff to treat birds too But make sure you treat the area
  7. Macro settings ( tulip icon on camera) is great for those close up. Best advice would be to read the instruction manual you never know what your camera is capable of doing. Natural Lighting for Cere's and body colour .. Agree with Maes on all of them ... too
  8. I will make sure that I do not use tin corn anymore too .... It is 40% water sugar and salt Not good ... So I will back to the Good stuff again!

  10. Ahhh okay awesome Norm...Touch wood I haven't had a sick budgie since Shayanne and Commache and they were bought Birds with PBFD & etc ... So I just keep doing what I am doing .... I think it is because they do have Large aviaries and aren't over crowed, with plenty of exercise ... So i won't worry then I'll be grateful that they are Healthy Birds

  20. okay! I am either ANGRY or SAD I can't choose yet I have noticed that my birds aren't as weighty as they should be .... The ones in the Aviary are okay - Not under weight But i would like more meat on them of you know what I mean .... Then the 2 that are in side tame ones .... Mac is slightly under he is going through his molt at the moment and no mater what I give him he has never but weight on ( i can't feel his breast bone) But there isn't a lot of weight on him either ... Now Princess. Huh :hap: That's another story ... She is eating like a piggy but i can still feel her bone ( she is 6 weeks old ) All birds get a seed mix of Canary, White millet,Safflower Seed & linseed . They get Veggies and in summer stone fruits They aren't apple and pear eaters Every now and then I make up a fruit juice from them ... WHAT CAN I DO Oh I add sunflower seeds once a week into their mix But 5 times out of 10 they don't eat it ... HULLED OATS ., Soaked or not they don't touch it .... Um mm Egg and Biccy mix they eat it ( i usually use that for when they are breeding )
